Boston/Kings and Chicago/Kings Trades

if the kings are serious about rebuilding and getting younger... we need to make trades to teams that want to win now... teams that fit into this catagory is Chicago and suddenly Boston (with the GM Ainge trying to win now to save his job)...

the 1st trade would be to send Mike Bibby and Brad Miller to Boston for Theo Ratliff (expiring contract), Kendrick Perkins (22 year old big man with potential), Sebatian Telfair (troubled, but talented young point guard, Boston had suspended last season), and Brian Scalabrine (Salary cap filler).

the kings get a large ending contract and some nice young pieces with unrealized potential... the celtics get a proven point guard (bibby) for a win now attiude to go with pierce and ray allen and a proven center Miller... the celtics address their two most glaring needs, point guard and center... ainge has been vocal about getting some veterans to win now... plus boston keeps al jefferson in this deal...

trade #2: once SAR is fully healed from his knee surgery, trade SAR to Chicago for Chris Duhoun and Adrian Griffin (salary cap filler)...

kings get a young point guard to compete for the starting line up and the
bulls get a low post scoring threat in SAR...

the kings new line up....

PF Perkins KT Scalabrine
SF Artest Garcia
C Hawes Ratliff J Williams
SG Martin Salmons Douby
PG Duhoun Telfair Price

Then we trade Ron Artest at some point(possibly at trade deadline), because he will not want to be a part of a rebuilding young team

Please, NO Sebastian Telfair. I've had enough of "troubled but talented" players. Let them take their troubles elsewhere.

In the case of Telfair I'd go with just plain troubled. Even if he became a saint he's not going anywhere in his NBA career. No thanks.

Maybe we can substitute Rajon Rondo for Telfair, although I don't know if the Celts would trade him...

Telfair only has 2 years left at, $1,793,160 and $2,562,426. So taking him would be a pretty good gamble, if he stays out of trouble and develops he would be a bargain, if not you can just waive/buyout and not be out too much money.

I think given the circumstances he could be a good gamble.

Actually scratch that, I think he only has that last year left, which would make him an expiring anyway and an even better gamble.
