The Charlotte Bobcats might not feel the full extent of Saturday's 113-93 preseason loss to the Los Angeles Lakers until Sunday.
That's when second-year forward Adam Morrison is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left knee, according to The Charlotte Observer.
The Bobcats were trailing 77-61 when Morrison attempted to defend Luke Walton on a drive to the basket and crumpled to the floor in severe pain while clutching his knee.
Morrison, who averaged 11.8 points in 78 games last season after being taken third overall in the 2006 draft, was helped to the dressing room with 5:23 left in the third quarter and did not return.
His injury was initially diagnosed as a sprain, as reported by the newspaper.
Information from The Associated Press contributed to this story.
