He's a horrible analyst and has a horrible personality to be in front of a camera. He's the opposite of what he was on the court, no energy. It was a mistake to put him on TV.

You may not like him, but he's an excellent analyst and knows the freaking game inside and out.

It's not a comfortability thing.
Anyone who has listened to Bobby through the years knows he has a serious communication impediment.
IMO, he has no business being on TV, or on radio, as a spokesperson of any kind.
He (and his employers) are exploiting how Kings fans feel about him as a person and former fan-favorite, at the expense of quality telecasting.

I remember how bad Jalen Rose was when he first started. Oh man the guy looked like he could barely read and he spoke sooooo slow. Now I think he's terrific alongside Simmons (I don't agree with their analysis very often but they're entertaining). Hoping that's the case for B-Jax.

It may be the hosts fault. He seems to ask Bobby questions and leads his talks. You put Bobby up there with someone who has some soul and I bet he lets it go more and it gets more interesting.

Harry Carey wasn't exactly the most eloquent guy but you loved him. I'm not saying BJax is going to be like a Hall of Famer but the point is I can look past the delivery...he's very insightful. He's Bobby Jackson and he's fine in my book. The above poster that said Doug Christie kills it....agreed. He's pretty damn good. Interesting that the personalities that they showed on the court is what they deliver on air.

Jalen Rose was hands-down one of the worst national commentators I've ever watched, for well over 2 years.
I couldn't believe they gave such a terrible speaker the national stage for so long before he became watchable.
IMHO, we shouldn't be subjected to years of learning-on-the-job before spokespeople become listenable.

He has gotten a little better, but that opening night vs the warriors was terrrrribbblee. First night jitters but wow!
Bill Herredia or whatever is pretty horrible too. The 49ers have a much better cast of former players and personalities.

He's actually much better than I thought he'd be. I still would not call him a great or even a good studio analyst at this point but he's serviceable and seems to be improving a little.
Watching and listening to so many Bobby Jackson interviews over the years he never comes across as super energized or excited which is ironic considering the way he played but he does know the game and he does have a good sense of humor. I think with time and some prodding from the network he'll open up a little more. If he becomes a little louder and more excitable it will have to be forced for the purpose of TV but it does need to happen.
Honestly though I don't think he is a problem right now, I definitely expected worse.
