Wow. Talk about getting your money's worth. The Friday night game may not have been pretty but it certainly ran the full gamut of emotions for Kings and Knicks fans. We saw everything from Mikki Moore becoming a sequoia in the paint to Kevin Martin calming setting a new career high in points as he also grabbed 10 rebounds.
And we saw the difference playing at home can make. We saw our Kings politely try and offer the last piece of pie to the Knicks. In fact, they offered serveral times, apparently wanting to play the role of the good host. Luckily, the Knicks - wanting to show they could be the good dinner guest - declined the offer and the Kings went away from the table with the W and the fans headed to the parking lot feeling they'd just finished a wonderful home-cooked meal.
Perhaps "sign lady" will hold up a sign that says, in vintage cross-stitch, "Bless This House!"
Tonight's game against the former champs the Pistons could be interesting. Although Detroit comes in to Arco with a 6-3 record, they aren't the Pistons who walked away with the O'Brien trophy and they can be beaten. Billups is fighting a hip/knee problem and McDyess might not play because of a shoulder strain. If neither of them play, our Kings could just grab a win...

Now, let's get ready for some Kings basketball!!!
