Not a single one. Sucks when I see the 6 on the courts and on the jerseys, on Coach Brown so prominently, I am reminded he is gone.

I heard Red Auerbach make presentations twice at basketball camp at DeMatha High School back in the early 1960s. He could not say enough about number 6. I became a Celtics fan for life right there. Bird is my all-time favorite athlete, but he came later.

Bill Russell was a champion in the way he stood up for Civil Rights. It was not popular at the time for athletes to get involved in social issues. Later he was joined by people like Ali, Jim Brown and Jabbar. I heard a speech by Mohammed Ali in 1968 at Ohio University. Later we were playing a college intramural game at the Univ of Maryland, and Kareem started warming up at the far basket. These people have made a huge impact on my life. Bill was the one who started it.
