In a letter sent to Anaheim city officials, attorney Jeffrey Dorso with Diepenbrock Harrison said the Anaheim resolution "appears to directly conflict with applicable state law that provides taxpayers assurances that legislative actions to approve the issuance of bonds are subject to referendum and do not become effective for a period of 60 days."

Very interesting. This definitely seems like it could at least tie the process up and, judging from the Magoofs response to the Sac City Council letter, they seem very wary of any potential roadblocks.

I also find it odd that the city is willing to step in and taken legal action to keep the team when they haven't been willing to step up and get a project going. At least buying another year might help the process along (and a full year knowing this is *the last* year would maybe help things get kick started).
