[Rumor] Amick: “the point guard pursuit is very real”

Interesting that they would be open to being a third team in a Durant trade.

It seems like Scott Perry is getting a lot of work done developing his options in advance of draft day. It's hard to divine an understanding of his vision as yet, since it seems like he's keeping an open mind regarding all opportunities. I have no idea if he's going to be an effective GM for the Kings, but he's definitely got his foot on the off-season gas pedal.

I feel like all we have on Perry (as Kings fans) is that he was there in 2017 when we drafted Fox and traded 10 for 15 and 20 which could have been a grand slam. But relatively speaking, all three of those picks were missed opportunities by us and the Blazers. I love that he seems to be a wheeler and a dealer but when you look at his Orlando and NY tenures there were missed picks galore.

I'd really like to know who the bit-players on the scouting team are and who from Monte/Wes has been retained for Perry/BJ. It seems like the only big miss we had was Davion but even he went on to contribute in the playoffs for Miami this year and could have helped us advance against the Dubs in the eyes of many. If we kept a lot of those people I feel more comfortable when we start picking players again. Hopefully we do buy into this draft if the cost isn't steep.

Again, I guess it's comforting that the front office is trying to address the absolute glaring hole on our roster that we can all see.
I’m guessing the Monte regime was trying to plug the wing hole in the roster in their time but the only news we ever got on that front was Klutch leaking that they pulled out of a John Collins trade because Fox didn’t feel like signing an extension lol

While I have maintained that is why we pulled out, I thought the official reason we pulled out was that Mike Brown nixed the deal. Or are we talking about in January?
