Comcast SportsNet and DISH Network Close to Agreement on Kings
Just hours before the Sacramento Kings season opener, Comcast SportsNet has reached an agreement to show tonight's game on the DISH satellite network.

The two firms are reportedly close to an agreement for the entire season.

The Kings are playing the Dallas Mavericks in Dallas tonight.

Today's announcement comes a day after Comcast announced an agreement with Starstream Cable, which serves Placer County. Under the terms of the pact, Starstream will be able to carry all Kings games not otherwise available.

Starstream customers are joining those serviced by Surewest in receiving the new Comcast Sports Net. In addition to the games airing on cable, a number of games will be available on News10, several on the TNT cable network, and others will be carried by the networks.

Comcast says discussions are continuing with other systems, including Charter Communications and the DirecTV network.

Comcast also announced Monday that starting December 19, all home games on its sport network will be available in high definition.

News10 will carry Wednesday's matchup between the Kings and San Antonio Spurs. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
