Mister Slim Says:

HERE WE GO AGAIN! (Here we go again!)

SAME OLD SONG AGAIN! (Same old song again!)

MARCHING DOWN THE AVENUE! (Marching down the avenue!)

THREE MORE GAMES, AND WE'LL BE THROUGH! (Three more games, and we'll be through!)

Sacramento's inexecrable limp towards the finish line continues in San Francisco, where they will take on the play-in bound Warriors. For all the discourse about the "weak" east, there is only one team that has qualified for the play-in that is guaranteed to finish the regular season with a losing record, and it's the Warriors. Two other teams can join them in that dubious distinction, both of which are also in the west. The bad news for the Kings (or good news, depending on what your priorities are) is that Steph Curry has returned from a long injury and, with them trying to ramp up for the play-in, will most likely get significant minutes tonight. On the other side, if appears as though the Kings may have finally done what a very vocal minority of fans have been wanting them to do for months, as DeRozan seems to have been shut down, along with Westbrook, possibly for the remainder. With wins having no meaning, and playing time only having value as a learning experience, it's for the best.

Play the kids.

My heart wanted to vote for Billie Holiday but sadly, she lost out to maybe a larger milestone confirmation of Justice Brown Jackson

Absolutely agree play the kids, especially in the fourth that being said if the Kings have a lead in the fourth, Max needs to have his head on a swivel because he’s likely get kicked in the ear by Draymond Green

These last three games may be the best-case scenario for Sacramento, given the circumstances: games that are meaningless to the Kings but not meaningless to their opponents will give the kids opportunities to play in "real-game" situations against opponents who are trying to win with their regular squads.

And that's how you get games that "matter," even when they don't matter.

"Symbolic" birthday of the internet is obviously a pretty big one but here I'm going to give Beethoven his due. Didn't vote for the second symphony (not too long ago!) because the even symphonies (#6 excepted) are pretty dull, all things considered. The Eroica, while probably only the fourth-best of the odd symphonies, is still really good, and (while I haven't checked) I'm guessing we're not likely to get a #5/#7/#9 debut in the next two games, so this one gets it!

And this, folks, is how you tank.

Several great choices here. I voted as you did, but could also have gone for Billie Holiday or the 'Eroica' Symphony. It's too early to say if Justice Brown Jackson will end up being an important figure in history, but she is on that trajectory.

I had forgotten all about the Curt Flood suit, but in sports, that was a real milestone.

I will confess, I never heard of the word "inexecrable" before. It does not appear in either the Webster's Collegiate nor the Random House dictionaries, but S₤im uses it correctly.

I know Steph is on the bench but this Kings starting lineup might be better than the Current Warriors starting lineup lol

At this point it’s probably safe to say that Aaron Bruski was wrong when he said DeAnthony Melton was better than De’Aaron Fox

wait, is this garbage they’re overlaying on the court what people were complaining about way back? is this on all the time? its terrible

Gotta love Cardwell slowly dribbling to the point on the court triangulated to be as far as possible from a defender
