I hope we smash these idiots just because after trading Luka they seem to have gone out and given him all the motivation in the world to drop 50lbs and play for 15 more years in this league and be a perennial problem for all of us whereas if they had just supermaxed him like any other sane club would have done to an elite player of his ability he'd have probably blown his achilles in the next 2 seasons.

If they had at least sent him out East we could bless them for taking on the curse.

I’m mad I have to cheer a Laker now. It’s not my guy’s fault he’s a Laker. And I will always be a Luka fanboy.
I will never have that problem but I was looking forward to the Lakers spending 5-6 years in the mud and now they're looking better than they've looked since the last great Kobe run. No disrespect to the Mickey Mouse title they won but even 5 years ago I don't see AD and LeBron winning without the break and limited travel.

I watched a bit of Mavs last game against Bucks, at home, and I think the numbers and stats are pretty much correct indicator about how it went.
Mavs are in the deep now. Kyrie, Klay, Christie... - basically that's it. Bucks (they spanked us pretty good in Milwaukee) are tall, long, strong and good.
Until Mavs kept netting - they were in the game. Won 1 q 38-31, were ahead in the second q 44-35, 57-50 and that was that. From 57-50 in the 2nd to 78-101 with 27.1 secs left in the 3rd. Mavs lost 3rd q 16-30, just 7 two pointers made and 2-4 from the line.
Bucks had 52 boards, Mavs - 33. Combined score of 2nd and 3rd q 70-43 Bucks advantage.
Mavs still took 40 3PTAs, made only 11.
Kyrie played 38? minutes.
Yet, one stat still shows the quality of the team: Bucks 13 TOs, Mavs only 11.
We are rightful favorites tonight. To make it happen for real we need to work on 2 things: minimize our own turnovers and not mess up fast breaks. Play smart and patiently.

After DeMar cooked them, hopefully they’ll be so focused on him that some other guys go off - especially LaVine, but, I’m hoping Monk gets out of his slump as far as shooting goes. Need him to be himself more than ever without Sabonis here
