Mister Slim Says: Kings go oh-for the road trip, but return to the "friendly confines" of the Eagle with souvenirs: Ellis and Schröder got lost at Dulles baggage claim, but they picked up a shiny new Hunter from the gift shop! Sacramento's new acquisition is expected to play tonight against the decimated Grizzlies and, perhaps unfortunately for the pro-tanking crowd, it's going to difficult, bordering on impossible, for the Kings to lose this game: a third of their roster just got traded out, the new acquisitions haven't been cleared to suit up, and their best remaining player will probably be a healthy scratch.

Play the kids.

the fact that lavine, demar, monk, are all listed as healthy is so sad. They must have absolutely nothing on the radar for those guys.
Don't mind Monk staying, and expected LaVine, but was hoping something for demar. this is where we suddenly go from last place to 5-10, all other teams have turned the tank on strong.

Have faith in the Tank. Deebo and Zach both dropped 30+ on great percentages in a loss to the Wizards' g-league call ups.

There's a reason nobody but Vivek wants those guys.

Gonna go with clam chowder (New England style) on this one, by kind of a long shot. I do like the tom kha gai suggestion, but I'd actually go for tom yum gai first (as well as a good hot-and-sour at any Chinese place). And it's hard to go wrong with a hearty chicken noodle. But man, clam chowder is my first love.

Keeping things in the Thai realm as per @Padrino 's suggestion, I recently discover Khao Soi (a noodle soup with curry broth and usually chicken drumsticks) and am obsessed. Not all restaurants are created equal of course, but there's one near where I live that serves this and it is unbelievably good. It's worth seeking out for anyone who likes curry and coconut milk together.

I do worry a bit. Every tanking team should be rooting for the Pels to rip off some wins. I think 10 wins is on the table for us because we have the easier remaining schedule among the losers. 8-9 wins and we likely secure top 5

I just think it's a rough spot. There is a clear vision of pairing Hunter and Keegan together, if they don't increase the level of competitiveness what does that say? This is one of those possible nightmare scenarios where you have all these pieces still here so unless the tank gets really obvious they'll be playing to prove a point and maybe, just maybe screw this franchise over. Enjoy your pick Kings kind of stuff.

Keegan isn’t being evaluated until the 19th. Who knows if he comes back then or they keep him out another month. Calf injuries are nothing to play with.

I think the other thing to consider is it’s just really hard to win in the league right now. The Pels have Zion, Trey and Herb Jones (all guys who have been on winning teams) and they are just as bad as us. On paper the Pistons should not be a top 3 team in my opinion but they are because pieces fit and chemistry is good.

This was the ankle turn though right? It is a little odd he's being pushed back if so. Still, they definitely will want to see Hunter and Keegan together this season I would imagine. Maybe the mess of a roster saves the day after all lol.
