The Pistons are off to their best start since the Bad Boys days, at 32-11. Cade Cunningham leads the way with 25.3 points per game and a whopping 9.7 assists.

The Kings, in their "gap" season, have been looking over their shoulders every day, not at the New Orleans Pelicans, but at their own management, which seems hell-bent on getting rid of anyone not signed by Scott Perry. Frankly, it's amazing they have played as well as they have the past two weeks.

Zach LaVine, the top scorer at a mere 19.5 points per game, is out today with an alleged back problem. Hey, maybe it will help.
 
I was encouraged by what Cardwell shared about the Kings locker room culture. For all his faults, Monte seems to have done a great job with bringing in quality individuals as well as quality players. Yes, I know they don't fit together well at all, but being able to be supportive and encouraging when there are so many frustrations to be distracted by is impressive.

Good point, MizzouKing. Schroeder said that he was one of 400 guys out of 8 billion [people in the world] who get to play NBA basketball. I am paraphrasing, but he feels blessed and does not worry about smoke and rumors.

Don’t know enough about past pistons players to have an opinion on the poll, but surprised none of the 2004 championship team made the list.

DeBusschere on the poll feels like a troll job: I don't even think of Dave DeBusschere as a Piston, I think of him as a Knick.

Like, I'm not going to get into all the players I felt got snubbed in this poll, but DeBusschere's inclusion stood out to me.

I grew up in Michigan. DeBusschere was a big name when he was on the Pistons, one of the last player-coaches in the NBA.
