How can we have threads for all these other shows and NOT have one for the best show on television?;) Anyone else a total 24 junkie?

Yaholo!!!

Why, yes! I'm a total 24 junkie and it's all...YOUR FAULT!!!!

Happy Mother's day, BTW...

I've been waiting 20 hours for somebody to start a thread about this :)

ANybody think that Jack would have pulled the trigger on the Doc if he refused to treat the guy?

How about Chloe kicking butt?! My wife and me were high fiving each other after that one.

Oh, and happy mothers day to both of you.

And what's with the bleeping sissy girl-friend? Like she didn't KNOW what Jack does for a living or what being in the field might entail?

I'm going to bring up something that has always bugged me.

VF watches as Kingsgurl slaps her forehead and says, "Oh no. She isn't...

This is 24 hours, right? Non-stop, right? Then one has to assume Jack has kidneys and a digestive system suitable for the bionic man... enough said.

;)

I was laughing my behind off about Chloe, too funny. Especially later, when she told Edgar she thought she might be psychotic because she didn't feel anything, and he told her she might fall apart later...'I hope so':D

Yea, the GF IS sissy. Good thing she wasn't in the season where Jack cut off that dudes head, she really would have freaked.

VF, I told you, Jack uses trees and bushes during commercial breaks;)

I guess we are the only 24 fans here :) Oh well. I'll make sure not to pos any spoilers for you guys tonight since I can see it 2 hours before you.

3 hours to go and it ain't going to be pretty.

Go Jack! Go Chloe! Go Kings!

Count me in....

Count me in as a 24 junkie, I'm really stoked to see Dennis Haysbert back as the former prez. Unfortunately I work evenings now, so I have to watch later....enjoy tonight's show. :)

Where's the Star Trek Transporter?

We all know they have to play with things to make the "minute for minute" thing work. I can only guess Jack takes that pause during commercials or while we're watching a scene he's not in. I'm much more impressed with they're ability to travel around L.A. with such ease. As someone who works in a somewhat related field, I'm also amazed at the way characters like Chloe, Edgar, Erin Driscoll, and of course Jack Bauer continue to function critical incident after critical incident. I've worked around many super men and women and been around more than a few critical incidents. After only the first season of 24 Jack would have been the poster child for the CIA debriefing shrinks. Still, I love the show, especially the way they portray how very small pieces of information and sometimes a lot of luck can make all the difference. It also reminds me that our freedoms are not free and that we should hold those who work to defend our freedom in the highest regard. Ok, off my soapbox. :o

I've thought about the lack of traffic more than once, but poetic license does have to come into account once in a while. It wouldn't be much of a show if 52 minutes of every episode showed Jack stuck in traffic, experiencing various levels of road rage...

What I'd like to see is "Between 24" - where they show what Jack goes through AFTER the 24 hours of one season and BEFORE 24 hours of the next. Now that could be interesting.

;)

I love this show, but I only started watching it for one reason. Shohreh Aghdashloo, one of my mom's best friends, "Dina Araz" on the show. I could not be more proud of this young lady. My family has known her forever, she has been a great actress in Persian plays for years, and she finally got a big break on 24. I hope for only good things for this terrific young actress! :)

That's very cool. I think she did a great job. Speaking of her.... In one episode CTU gave Beruz away for Jack. They ripped out the tracking device from his head, but did they kill him?

Last night started slow and than BAMMM!!! awesome finsh that makes you wish a week is a day long and Monday is tomorrow :)

I am also totally obsessed with that show, but I don't watch it on TV week by week. I have to get the DVDs at the end of the season and watch them consecutively. I'm not sure how some of you can survive the 7 day waiting process!!!

BUT, great show. I have to say Keifer Sutherland totally redeemed himself with this series.

Oh my...

Talk about a lot to think about between now and next Monday.

1. Would Edgar really have just blurted out something to some Chinese guy he passed in the hall?

2. Could the president be any MORE of a wimp? Thank goodness he seems to fold like a cheap suit in the face of real authority figures, like the former president. ;)

3. Is Audrey going to be able to get past what Jack did? Do we WANT her to get past it? I don't think she's right for Jack at all.

4. Is Chloe going to ask for more field assignments?

5. Was anyone else thinking all along the slime son of Secretary Heller was somehow going to pop back in?

---------------------------------------------------

This is all your fault, Kingsgurl. And, quite frankly, I only have one thing to say:

THANK YOU!!!!!

:D

1. Would Edgar really have just blurted out something to some Chinese guy he passed in the hall? Edgar? Um, yes. He doesn't stike me as the brightest bulb in the chandelier, plue he is probably still all distraught over his Mom, you know

2. Could the president be any MORE of a wimp? Thank goodness he seems to fold like a cheap suit in the face of real authority figures, like the former president. ;) I don't see how, unless he curled up in the fetal position under the desk in the Oval Office, perhaps next week?

3. Is Audrey going to be able to get past what Jack did? Do we WANT her to get past it? I don't think she's right for Jack at all. Jack's been relatively mellow in this season, she would have popped a goiter the season he was an addict. He could do better. Of course, they all die, so what's the point?

4. Is Chloe going to ask for more field assignments? best line of the show last night "We don't have time for your personality disorder right now"

5. Was anyone else thinking all along the slime son of Secretary Heller was somehow going to pop back in? But of course!

Everyone at work was always talking about how great it was, etc. I worked nights, missed the first season. I rented the DVDs and watched it hours on end, couldn't get enough.

Redeemed himself? I've always really liked Keifer.

The best Chloe line last night was:

- Chloe, identify the geographic location!
+ It's in a forrest area with a structure in the background.

Tell us something we can't see for ourselves Chloe :)

The greatest thing about the show is that the main character is a functioning sociopath; he has just channeled it in a "constructive" manner. He's able to completely disassociate himself in the heat of the moment and do exactly what needs to be done free of any morals or emotions.

I missed the first season but had heard good things, so I decided to give Season Two a shot. As the first episode unfolded, I wasn't sure about the show, then came that last scene. Jack shoots the man he's interrogating in his chair and shouts out: "I'm going to need a hacksaw!" Oh 24, you had me at "hacksaw".

Somehow, seeing your avatar, I had the suspicion you would, in fact, be a fan of Jack's...

:D

The last movie I had seen him in was "A Time to Kill" - he wasn't one of my favorite actors then (I always thought he was must have been a good actor since I hated him, but he played all the bad boy/mean boy roles).

The whole "hero" thing on this show has made me really root for him. He's a fantastic actor.

Also, I'd only briefly heard of the show, but my brother and sister-in-law bought Season One for my parents for Christmas two years ago - I borrowed it, and saw all 24 episodes in like 2 days. THEN, I had to go to Blockbuster for Season Two and had another session. :o I then told my parents and they had the same experience and then they passed it on to a friend who had the same experience..... it's so addicting!!

Hmm, I think that's why I always liked him

I love the show!! :D I've watched it from day one. I tried to get my husband to watch, but something else was on at the same time so he skipped it. When I finally got him to watch an episode in the 2nd season, he was hooked.

I love Kieffer!!! He plays the role of Jack to perfection. I can't wait for tonight's episode. The gf is not his type and needs to go. It was ok for him to do whatever he had to to save her and her dad's life, but she somehow forgets that!! I love that they brought the real prez back. He's the decision maker.

Chloe's a closet bad ***. I love it!!

30 minutes to go!!!!!!!!!!!

After that, it's Medium. Does anyone watch it?

Wow. Talk about a lead-up to a finale...

I absolutely LOVE the writers of this show. Slowly but surely they continue to tie things together, leading you towards and inevitable finish that you can't possibly guess ahead of time.

Medium isn't on tonight. It's "Hercules" - made for TV and May sweeps. Blech.

Wasn't the show great?!!! I love 24. My hubbie's watching the tape on his dinner break right now so I wasn't aware that Medium isn't on tonight. That just blows.

I like the concept for Medium. Oh, well. Always next week.:)

the tony/michelle stuff was bull.
I'm sure two people at CTU would have time to make out in the middle of a national crisis.
...yeah yeah yeah, i understand they need to throw in some romance.

Other then that, 24 is a great show. hands down the best on network tv.

they killed off castle! he was one of my favorite characters. My favorite characters in everything seem to always drop like flies.

What was Ashlee Simpson doing in that episode? Shouldn't she be out getting booed by sooner fans?
