Mister Slim Says: Aside from a four-game winning streak in the mid-teens, the Pacers have largely had the Kings' number in the post-Webber era. Regardless of whether the Kings were good and the Pacers were bad (this has almost never happened), both teams were good (this has been slightly less uncommon), both teams were bad (this has happened more often), or the Pacers were good and the Kings were bad (this seems to have happened the most). Currently we are back at the "both teams stink" phase of the cycle, with the Kings hoping to pull off their first successful road trip of the season, which they can accomplish with a win tonight.

Sacramento got good productivity out of rookies Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud in the win against Miami, which is something that Kings Fans should be hoping for a repeat of, regardless of whether they're rooting for the organization to tank, or just want to see entertaining basketball. With the potential absence of two-way stalwart Keegan Murray, Sacramento may struggle on switches and in the interior, but Indiana hasn't typically played like a team that will punish them for that, so I can't call it.

Re: The poll...I want to be a young kid again.
Ugh. You can keep it! There's no part of my childhood that I want to do over, especially not when my childhood was. I wouldn't mind reliving my twenties with the wisdom I have at fifty, but that's as far back as I'm willing to go.

EDIT - I mean, I made a few **** ups in high school that I'd like a mulligan on, but I don't want to do the **** again! **** that noise.

If I could relive the 90s (especially knowing what happens in 2001) I totally would.

Not sure I have any desire to go back as a 50+ year old.

The caveat is as awesome as redoing the 90s would be - I would get a chance to undo a lot of mistakes I made and take more chances on following my passions - I would never have gotten together with my son's mom which means the best thing in my life wouldn't happen. So even then... I don't know what I'd do.

So I voted for 50s so I could see all the old time rock n roll stars in all their glory. Alternatively would love to be in NY in 1976.

And see, that's the way I have always personally interpreted time travel hypotheticals as well: any contrivance that would allow me to go back in time and fix my mistakes would have resulted in my son not being born. That's a trade I'm not willing to make, so any scenario that resulted in me going back to before April 15, 1997 is right out.

As far as going back to, like, the 50s or something... I feel like that might be a #TwoAmericas situation.

It is but a lot of what I'd want to see are in mixed spaces so its very possible after 10 minutes I'd nope right back 20 years to the future. Still would love to be there for the birth of it all like I was for a lot of late 80s/90s music - although there's definitely musical regrets from that time period when I went to parties instead of legendary shows.

My “city” in the 60s/70s had a trolley that used to go back and forth across town, 20k great paying manufacturing jobs, a downtown filled with department stores, offices, 4 theaters and more. I guess I would like to be dropped off for a weekend in that era to see how it used to be and take inspiration for the future.

Re the time traveler thing, I always thought it would be fascinating to travel back in time to Bethlehem and watch the entire saga of Christ's birth through the crucifixion and beyond.

Re the game, more minutes for Max and Clifford, please. And get Clifford the ball more where he can be a play maker; the corollary is to give Westbrook a lot fewer ball handling minutes. It would also be nice to see proof of life for Devin Carter.

Oops. Meant to say 2000s but didn’t realize I selected 2010s until it was too late.

I would take either I suppose.

One thing I want to see from Max this game is him passing out to an open 3point shooter when he gets it inside and the defense collapses. Too often he is forcing up a shot when he could pass it out for a better shot.

I love the aggressiveness and confidence from the rookie though. No fear in that dude.

Relevant sketch

Part of me thinks that going earlier would mean I'd get to be a cool guy who "invents" all the cool stuff like electricity, antibiotics and air conditioning. Most of me realizes I don't actually understand that well how most technology works today, so I'd be stressed out studying for my trip

Good news! Blacked out of this one. Someone stuff TJ McConnell in a locker.
Pacers are missing their whole roster and are favored by 3.5. Disrespectful, let’s see how they respond. I think the kings win by 15.
Taking the Pacers on this one just feels like a sucker bet. Hopefully Max and Nique show out and since we're bound to win, let's go win by 25!

It's getting to that point where it's hard to watch this team regardless of how they play because it's clear this is just a temp holdover roster. Good times are back! lol.

Worst case scenario: Kings win powered by the vets with meh games from the youngsters

Best case scenario: Kings loss with big games from the youngsters

"Hmmm ok, I'm not mad about it" scenarios: Kings win powered by big games from the youngsters, or Kings loss with trade boosting big games powered by the vets.

Any other scenarios such as a 1 point win where everyone sucks (both teams), or a blowout loss to the lowly Pacers and I may need some handholding on how to feel.

I'll take option three for a hundred, Alex! There is not a big reward for a bad tank job these days, so I'll root for any wins that don't come at the expense of our hatchlings. 🐣 🐣 🐣 🐓
