Mister Slim Says: The Kings have received substantial injury luck vis-à-vis their opponents in their last two games, but have come away with nothing to show for it. Now they get the undefeated Bulls on the second night of a back-to-back. Chicago has size and length up and down its entire lineup, which is known to give the Kings problems, but they're middle of the pack offensively, so a slightly above-average defensive effort combined with a motivated DeRozan and LaVine could allow the Kings to pull off an upset.

All I care about right now is seeing Clifford on the floor playing 30 minutes a game and Max with 15 minutes+ a game. If they aren't going to play Max then get on with it and send him to the G league.

Such a difficult poll question! If I had to give the cartoon cat who has given me that largest cumulative amount of joy, it would have to be Garfield, and it's not particularly close. When I was a kid, I had the first 10 or 15 Garfield collections (in the earliest few Jon Davis' art was not yet established, and man, did Garfield look weird) and read them obsessively.

But at some point I definitively outgrew Garfield. Maybe Davis ran out of ideas, maybe I grew up, but for whatever it's worth I don't care about Garfield at all now. I've got a bit of a soft spot for Snowball, but I think if I had to choose a cartoon cat to spend a bit of time with right now, I'd pick Tom and root for him to finally catch that damn Jerry!

It is a hard question. Cat in the Hat is such a classic book but the cat just leaves messes for everyone else to clean up. Tom is the only cat in history that can’t catch a mouse. Garfield is not only a classic but a character built on real characteristics of a feline. I went with Garfield.

Garfield is the easy answer. Had the books, cut out the cartoons, had stuffed animals, even had ones that stuck onto windows. Had a Garfield blanket on my bed for years (I still have it!) It's insane looking. Actually, i am going to try and find an image online of it.

this isn't exactly it, but it's not far off

Yeah, agree. Why Eubanks is getting minutes and Raynaud is getting nothing is baffling.

Just got to wait it out. The next two months will likely set the table for the rest of the year. We either see almost none of the young guys this season because the Kings are competitive, or a bunch down the stretch. Christie isn't even considering development as a part of his plan yet from the looks of it. Even Carter getting time last game was a matchup thing for sure. His usage of Westbrook in particular is all we need to know. They didn't even play VC like this when he was brought in to be the "culture" guy. This is so far over the top it's insane, I mean Westbrook has the 2nd highest usage on the team lol.

Thankfully, we might just be totally dead by the time Keegan comes back, so this won't be a problem, but that's also a major issues thats looming over this team. If Russ is going to actually settle in as a 25+ MPG guy, then Nique/Keon get pretty damn close to 0. And even if Carter gets some spot time now, he's for sure done when Nique gets back. LaVine and DDR are at 37 and 38 MPG right now, but I don't see them falling much further than like 33-34 either.

Dennis 30 || Keon 10 || Monk 8
LaVine 34 || Monk 14
DDR 34 || Nique 14
Keegan 34 || Russ 14
Domas 34 || Eubanks 14

Maybe we dial back Russ to the back-up 4 minutes only, but then Keon only gets 10 MPG? Nique 14? Nothing for IJ/Max/Cardwell/Carter?

This is all going pretty much exactly the way we all figured it would. Semi competitive team that won't win enough games to do any damage and won't lose enough to net us a top pick. Schroder being the ineffective player he always is. Westbrook being the eye popping one moment and head scratching the next moment player he's been for the last few years. Eubanks being the forgettable head scratching signing he's always been. All 3 guys stealing minutes from younger players that we need to develop. Players that might be better than they are right now but we wont find out until late in the season or what's more likely is we'll still be going into next year with the exact same questions about them that we went into this year with.

Probably the most predictable situation there is. If only Vegas was taking bets on this scenario. We'd all be rich. Someone call up Rozier and lets make some money.

Only difference is I don't think we're a mid-tier team. We've had about as easy a schedule as we possibly could have as a western conference team and are 1-3 to show for it, with the 1 win being off an offensive rebound.

Granted, we've had some badluck injury too with Keegan/Nique and Domas probably like 60-70%. But still, PHX/UTA are two of the weaker teams in the league, certainly in the West and LAL/OKC should be beatable for a .500 team without Luka/Bron and without Chet/J-Dub. For a team that's "supposed" to be competing for a top 6 spot, just can't give away games like we have. Because the schedule just gets impossible over the next 20 games.

What sucks is I actually think you could put together some fun lineups with Monk/DDR/LaVine/Domas as the offensive hubs and Keegan/Carter/Keon/Nique around them as the defensive role players/shooting. Find a real back-up big somewhere (If only we had someone like a Jval, right?) and the team would honestly probably have had a decent chance to be good. But the Russ/Dennis signings have seriously just taken the sails out of this org; they're 2nd and 3rd in USG rate with well-below average efficiency, they're both basically double the TOV rate of Monk/DDR/LaVine right now and they're "at best" average defenders but probably closer to poor in terms of actual impact. Eubanks somehow has played 50 real life NBA minutes and has a TS% of .158 with a 19.2% TOV rate.

Garfield was my pick, but Puss in Boots needs more love than he’s getting. Don’t even think I’ve seen him mentioned.

As for the game? Who gives a ****. 😴
