    [Game] 24/82: Kings @ Spurs 06 DEC 2024, 5pm PT/8pm ET

Yes, Keon would have given the Kings the most balanced starting unit, but I think Brown never fully trusted his offense for some reason. But at this point of the season, the Kings best chance to make a deep run for the playoffs may be to go full blown offensive juggernaut team. Try to recapture...

    Monk as Starter

Monk was always the best shooting guard on this team and will fit seamlessly into the starting line up. For the Kings to succeed though, we need Huerter to fill his scoring void on the bench. If Huerter can embrace the sniper role, he could become our super Sixth Man backing up the SG/SF.

    Isaac Jones!

I almost forgot about Boogie Ellis, he popped for me in the pre-season too. TBH, outside of Issac Jones, I liked Boogie more than the other 2-way players we currently have signed. Eventually, if he gets a fair shake, Boogie Ellis will play in the NBA one day.

    Isaac Jones!

Issac Jones was the one rookie/ young guy that really popped in Summer League and pre-season. I'm glad he's getting some run. I think if he can develop his outside shot, he could play 3 to 5 on both sides of the floor. Monte is doing better with Undrafted Free Agents than any 2nd round pick...

    [Game] 21/82: Kings vs. Spurs 01 DEC 2024, 6pm PT/9pm ET

I think it's more an issue with coaches telling their players to shoot as many 3s as possible, because they know the Kings 3pt defense is trash. The game plan to beat the Kings is to take as many 3s as possible, because they know the Kings can't defend it.

    [Game] 19/82: Kings @ Timberwolves 27 NOV 2024, 5pm PT/8pm ET

Crowder is a dawg. He plays tough and gives the Kings a tough guy who doesn’t back down. Something the Kings have been missing for a very long time. If he can hit his 3s, I can see him taking some of Lyle’s minutes.

[KINGS] Comments that don't warrant their own thread (Redux)

Starting Keon at SG or at least consistently playing him starter minutes would be a nice start to fixing that. Plus Keon is shooting 40% on 3 PGA on decent volume. The very definition of a 3 and D shooting guard.

    Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

Plain and simple, Keegan is the key to the Kings making the playoffs. He starts hitting his 3s at a 37-40% clip and continues his stellar D and the Kings are a top 6 team. If he doesn't, the Kings are a play-in team, with a high risk of missing the playoffs again.

Exactly, Hali looked to defer all the time next to Fox. When he was the lone dog (before Siakam got to Indiana) he was taking the initiative to be the #1. Now Hali looks like the same passive scorer like he was with the Kings. Good point with Keegan too. I think they come with the same mindset...

Yup, Fox has proven he can be that Alpha dog scorer for a few seasons, Hali did it for 2 months and got paid like a superstar. That Derrick Rose rule contract is going to hog tie Indiana from getting that true Alpha number 1, they really need.

I wouldn't go that far yet. But I do think that Hali has regressed back to his mean, which would be closer to a 18 pts 9 assist type PG instead of the 27 pts, 12 asst PG (for 2 months last year) that landed him that super max contract. I loved Hali when he was a King, but he has enjoyed the...

[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (OCT/NOV)

Yup, I thought it was going to be Knecht when he was still there at #13. I would had taken him, but Monte seems to think Carter will be a stud. Although I think not drafting a SF at #13 helped us in landing DeRozan in free agency.

[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (OCT/NOV)

Hali stat line tonight: 2-11 shooting, 0-4 from 3, 7reb and 9 assist for +/- of -21 and 6 pts for the night. Something is up with Hali (injury?) or is he just regressing way back to the mean? If he doesn't snap out of it quick, Pacer fans are going to turn on their super max "Golden Boy"...

Fox playing through shooting hand injury

This may explain Foxy's slow shooting start. Injured his shooting hand in training camp.... https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/42165365/kings-deaaron-fox-playing-injury-shooting-hand

    King Deebo

So nice to have a legitimate 20 ppg player to take the pressure off Fox every night. The Kings will be hard to stop if Keegan can regain his 3 pt shooting touch

Plus, they signed him to the All-NBA super max basically off of 2 months of basketball last season. If he doesn’t regain close to that form, his contract becomes an albatross on the Pacers for 5 years

    Tyrese Watch

I never said Tyrese was Ben Simmons. But, Tyrese seems to be enjoying the lime life of fame a little more than most. As long as he is able to still focus on basketball during the season, instead of appearing on podcasts, Pat McAfee show, the WWE during the season, he should be okay. However, if...

    Tyrese Watch

Maybe he’s lost his focus and edge on basketball and wants to become a social media star? One thing is for sure, he better get his head on straight and focus on basketball during the season, otherwise that super max contract will become an albatross for the Pacers.

    Huerter likely starting when cleared

If Brown is going to start Huerter, he’s going to need to game plan to get him some good looks early, otherwise he will be a non-factor. As for the game last night, Huerter didn’t lose this game. We lost the game at the end of the 3rd and in the 4th quarter where we went ice cold and couldn’t...

    Huerter likely starting when cleared

Brown has chosen the teams identity and that is to go “Super Nova Offense” like we had the prior year. Considering we got the #3 seed and Indiana got to the ECF with a juggernaut offense and suspect defense, this may be the Kings best chance to make a run to the playoffs. It doesn't necessarily...
