Today, SG Duncan Robinson got traded by Miami and SG Pat Connaughton (who I've never heard of) was traded away by the Bucks. If these moves create potential trading partners for Malik, it could definitely open up that roster spot.

I'm very dubious about the idea that Monk suddenly has no value, and similar Sabonis rumors would convince me it's a hoax. The winds of the NBA shift dramatically and quickly, but if you don't like how they're blowing you can guarantee they'll change again soon. Patience is a virtue.
Russ is a big NO for me as well... age is a concern, so is shot selection, and not sure about him as a locker room presence with so many young guys on the roster.
