I grew up in Sacramento, earned a degree in San Francisco, and started this account in the weeks after I left NorCal for San Diego: the fine city I called home for 11 years.

Been quite a decade of change for me during my tenure on this site. Left America's Finest City for the SLO Life with the celestial Central Coast as my backyard. Abandoned the ambulance for a career in the classroom. Added a beautiful wife, a fiery little girl, and a mangy mutt to the crew.

But through it all, this community has kept me linked to my hometown.
