Getting ready for the big jump

Eh, not everyone on an NBA bench is long for the league. It's possible we have a hidden gem or two in there somewhere but I don't think we're really going to know until we have a better coach in place who will actually put them in a position to succeed. We've had wave after wave of young guys...

[Game] Kings vs. Lakers, 3/3/21, 7pm PST 10pm EST

We're not even half way through the season yet and we're within a couple games of the 3rd spot in the lottery and giving up 120 points a game. All indications are good if you're hoping for a high draft pick this year. Some of ya'll take this tanking thing a little too seriously if you ask me...

Getting ready for the big jump

I like Holmes, I hope he's back next season in some kind of role, but he's also an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year (as are Bjelica, Parker, and Whiteside) so even if we do trade him we can still sign him again in the off-season. As an expiring contract he might actually have more...

I honestly think the refs felt so bad for the guy after watching it again in slow motion and stifling laughter that they felt like they had to give him the call. That's the best explanation I can come up with.

It doesn't much matter. If we can't beat the squad the Lakers put on the floor tonight by more than a bucket, straight up we really have no shot against anyone halfway decent with a pulse.

Can we place a coach in concussion protocols?

Wow. I don't even know what else to say. Even James Harden doesn't think that's a foul.

Harrell obviously saw CoJo successfully defend that Kuzma dunk attempt with his face and said "I can do that too!"

Kuzma did miss the dunk afterall so it was unconventional but effective. I hope Joesph is okay though, he should get checked for a concussion cause that looked pretty vicious.

Yeah, talent is not our problem. There's soft and then there's whatever we are which defies description. We have more assists than rebounds right now which tells you everything you need to know about our offense and our defense.

Regardless of anything else happening right now, Fox is still really fun to watch.

[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (MAR)

No offense to Shaq but his game was catch and dunk. He was so good at it he's got 4 championships and he's in the Hall of Fame but trying to argue how teams should defend the 3pt line when he never had to do it in his 19 years as a player is not a good look for him.

    Fire Walton

Gentry has had his chances and has never proven to be anything more than average as a head coach. He's been a head coach for all or part of 17 seasons and led those teams to winning records just twice. His teams typically lead the league in pace or close to it and are near the bottom in most...

    #WWST?

Okay I got 13 but considering my boomer dad potentially invented avocado toast in the late 60s / early 70s and I had Kombucha, Bone Broth, Cauliflower Rice, and Green Juice for the first time at my parents place I'm just going to claim California bias. Also if Boba, Poke, and Acai bowls are...
