    Offseason plan

Not wanting to get into the Hawes vs JT argument at this time, let's just agree that neither is a Playoff team starting center. But, there's still time for them to improve. So, I don't see the Kings moving either one no matter who we draft. And, until the Arena deal is written in stone, and the...

    Pacers @ Kings Game Thread - 12/2/09

I see where you are coming from. Spencer is clearly playing the way PW wants him to, otherwise PW would be pulling Hawes out of the game and letting him know he wasn't happy with Hawes play. On the other hand, PW is having Spencer play on top, because Spencer isn't strong enough to muscle his...

    Grades v. Nets 11/27/09

It's a good number for identifying where you stand compared to good teams who know how to score and can play defense. But, there are alot of better stats for determining if your going to win or not. This came from the King Game News for the NJ game. The Kings are 4-4 when they commit 15 or...

anybody else notice this about tyreke?

Maybe, but I seem to remember reading where when he was young his brothers tied his right hand so he'd have to use his left. That was supposed to improve his left. But, if i'm remembering correctly, it didn't seem to work.

anybody else notice this about tyreke?

I'm more concerned by the fact that he doesn't seem to use his left hand when he's laying the ball up from the left side. He's going to sprain his back if he keeps twisting to finish with his right hand.

    Emeka Okafor

Don't fool yourselves, NO doesn't do this trade with Okafor straight up for Thomas. Yea, they need the salary relief, but you don't save anything by cutting your 2nd best player for an expiring. The fans won't like it and CP3 won't like it. And, if there isn't anyone in the seats to...

    Who would best complement Havoc?

Tyreke needs to play along side someone who can score over PG's, so that the opponent can't puts their SG/SF on Tyreke for defense. Otherwise, we lose the mismatch that playing Tyreke at the PG position provides. Man defense isn't as critical as scoring, because with most teams running their...

Don't forget Webber's strength. Webber could take the ball with one hand, get the shot blocked and still dunk it. Plus, I don't remember any PF who could defend Shaq as well as Webber. He had the strength to keep Shaq from backing him down to get position on the blocks. I'm not sure why...

    Jason Thompson's foul issues

We should be doing that only with Spencer. JT is going to need time to perfect those moves and game time isn't the time to practice them. JT does exactly what he's needed to do, shoot the midrange jumper at a high percentage and cleanup on the boards. Trying to make him our center when we...

    Jason Thompson's foul issues

Not in Rodman's style. Rodman was a pogo stick, who wasn't able to go up and take rebounds away from bigger players. He was able to play volley ball and bat the ball away from bigger players. And, since he was quicker, he could get back up faster and so he could take the ball away. It wasn't...

    Donte Greene

PW stated that Donte needs to improve on D, and make better shot selections. So, is Donte going to get better coaching to improve his D, here or on a D-League team? Are the D-League teams running the same Defense that PW wants to run? So is Donte going to get better defensively on a team running...

Payroll question: Are we paying Mikki Moore?

SAR's salary came off the books last year. His salary is paid by an insurance policy thru the NBA office. And, it isn't counted against the Kings Salary Cap.

Payroll question: Are we paying Mikki Moore?

incorrect. The Kings waived MM last year, but since no team picked him up while he was on waivers, the Kings were responsible for his entire contract last year, about $6M. Boston picked him up after waivers, so MM got his entire Kings salary plus what Boston paid him for the remainder of last...

Hawes Need to Develop a Mean Streak

There's just no way your ever going to give Hawes his props, Are You? Well, If Hawes has a couple more good games, you'll just have to bad mouth JT. Seems like bad mouthing some Kings player is all you have to offer!

Hawes Need to Develop a Mean Streak

That's what PW said, but how many times in the last 3 games have you seen any of the guards actually feed the ball into Hawes deep in the paint. Sure, he got some easy dunks after Tyreke penetrated and the defense calapsed on him, but I'm talking plays called out where Hawes is already in...
