It's early, but anybody have a draft wish list yet?

Davis does not have frame issue. He's basically got the same frame Tim Duncan had as a college freshman. There's really no legitimate concern about Davis.

It's early, but anybody have a draft wish list yet?

He's more talented than Wallace. I think his best comp talent and skill wise is Ron Artest. Except instead of having serious mental issues, he's got the perfect temperament and attitude. It's not a given that he'd be better than Tyreke, but its certainly possible. They both have huge room for...

It's early, but anybody have a draft wish list yet?

Yeah, I love the theoretical fit. It would be great to have a starting 4 who was a great shotblocker and rebounder. But i think the theoretical fit is clouding the fact that he's not an NBA starting caliber prospect. It's real hard to start in this league without offering some kind of offensive...

I think good footwork and a big *** typically translate fairly well. Especially if you can knock down FT's and expand his range out for jumpers like he has. Plus he's such a heady, efficient player. I think you're right that he will probably be amongst the leaders in having his shot blocked...

I don't really see where Henson has even improved that much since last year. Scoring up, turnovers down, but also blocks and rebounds down a little bit. He's still a horrible FT shooter. I do think Ekpe Udoh is a good comparison, but not in a good way. Ekpe was a good shotblocker and...

You know what? I agree with you. I expect Sullinger to outplay Robinson on Saturday and go on to be a better pro. We all just watched Marc Gasol and Zack Randolph carry Mike Conley, Tony Allen, and Shane Battier to within a whisker of the Western Conference finals (where they would have been a...

It's early, but anybody have a draft wish list yet?

I know this wasn't directed at me, but I will take a crack. This is just the King's board. The first thing I would note is that this draft class has not shaken out as hoped whatsoever. Maybe there are some interesting guys in the 20's, but past the top 4 or so, everyone has holes. 1) Davis -...

When is it Petrie's time to go?

I think it might be exactly the time to go actually. His ability to identify talent in the draft remains intact. (Though Cousins was a gimme talent-wise and we are dealing with the reasons he fell there). But I don't have faith in his ability to turn these core pieces into a winning team any...

    Possible Long Term Coaches?

We actually have very good personnel for the Triangle too. You don't need a "true' PG just guards. Jimmer can be a BJ Armstrong/John Paxson type and Tyreke can be a Jordan/Kobe. Cousins is exactly the type of post to build the whole thing around. The Triangle is notoriously difficult to pick...

Trade Idea: Jason Thompson for Eric Bledsoe

The thinking was that Bledsoe possesses a skill which we do not have, which is a PG with defensive ability and athleticism. Even if he did not have many minutes available now, I think he's a prospect with a lot of upside, and the Kings would be in control of him for a few more years. As...

Westphal and the "we don’t get caught up in who’s the point guard" philosiphy

There's a great interview with Phil Jackson on Grantland that discusses this a bit http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7346315/what-ever-happened-triangle-offense "This idea of the point guard dominating the ball is a relatively new idea in the game of basketball, really."

    How to have a Hibbert

Hibbert is really slow Too slow to pair with Cousins. But in terms of collecting assets, it would probably be a win.

    Travis Outlaw

I would say so. The beauty of the amnesty with Outlaw is that the Kigns can bid a certain amount, say $1.5M, and then they have his rights at that amount for the remaining four years on his contract. Even if he's not a great fit on the Kings that would be an attractive, cheap trade piece.

Trade Idea: Jason Thompson for Eric Bledsoe

The Clippers have four PG's and no backup big men. JT, as a cheap backup fits so well that we could arguably ask for more than just Bledsoe. Bledose on the Kings is a pure PG prospect albeit one who is about as raw as they come. He shot poorly from 3 last year, but was a pretty good shooter at...

    The Kings and Freeagency:

Jeff Green I used to think Jeff Green was an overrated, undersized PF who was destined to get overpaid. In this market after last year, I think he's a real buy-low candidate and long-term fit at SF. The Fit - He's a SF not a PF. According to stats, my own eyes and common sense, the 6'9 230...
