Who here is a Bee subscriber?

Man, if I ran the SNR, I would be licking my chops right now. I'd also steal Amick from the Bee.

Who here is a Bee subscriber?

I like reading the paper. I like having the pages in my hand, instead of looking at it on the screen, but Sacramento Bee is really making it hard for me to keep up my subscription. When they changed their format, it really annoyed my because the font and layout they chose sucked, but they...

ESPN Rondo for 4th and JT or Hawes?!?!?!

I said the same thing last year, but after seeing the playoffs this year, he is the real deal. And he's so young that he could easily add a jump shot to his arsenal. Hmm, maybe KG could get KM to play some defense.

    The MMA thread

Dude, that was a total fluke. Urijah ran his head into Brown's arm. Then Urijah busts his hand in the first round and Mike Brown does a big "meh" for the rest of the fight. If Brown was a real champion, he would have rained hell on Urijah and the fight would have been called by the refs...

Paul Westphal Is The Best Fit

If they were going to take Westphal, you would have heard an announcement by now. Rambis is going to be the next head coach of the Kings and the only reason nothing has been said is because the Lakers are still playing.

Why Not Trade Martin While His Value Is High?

That's what pissed me off about the lottery so much. Miami blatantly tanked, got no punishment for it, and ended up with the 2nd pick. We truly sucked, did not tank in any way and got stuck with the 4th pick.

    The MMA thread

What another crappy night for Sacramento The Lakers win and Urijah Faber loses :( We didn't even watch overtime so we could see the Faber fight. Sucks that he broke his hand in the first round. That thing looked nasty when the gloves came off.

Is "athleticism" over-rated? (split from combine thread)

I suspect that passing can be tied to peripheral vision, which can be measured. Some people just have a wider angle view of the court and can see open people without turning their heads. It's a similar thing to something I heard about the best NFL quarterbacks having a higher level of depth...

Is "athleticism" over-rated? (split from combine thread)

This is what I think of when I see Rubio. Sure, he's not the fastest guy on the court, but his brain seems to be working a few steps ahead of everyone else. Quickness is the whole package; what Rubio lacks in physical speed, he makes up for in mental speed. If you look at it this way, the...

    Personal impressions of pre-draft workout

Haha, imagine having Christmas and Holiday on the same team. They could do promo shots with those guys standing next to each other with their backs to the camera.

7'9 Sun Mingming ... Take a chance on him.

I saw a documentary on him a few years back. Some agent brought him to America and put him up in his home so he could learn English, acclimate to the US and workout with the Lakers. His stamina was terrible, just totally unnatural. So it made total sense when they found the tumor that was...

    Kings' luck continues...

How about only giving one team the chance to move up, but select for every position until that happens? Run the lotto machine for #1, and if a team other than the worst wins that, lotto over. If not, run the machine again for position #2 and continue on down the line until someone moves or you...

    Kings' luck continues...

What bugs me the most is that Miami obviously tanked last season and still received the #2 pick in the lotto, whereas the Kings were just obviously that bad and got bumped to the worst possible slot. Miami should have received some penalty for fielding a D-League team. Another thing I found...

The Kings and the "Princeton offense"

Hawes doesn't grab many offensive rebounds anyway; that's Thompson's specialty. So what's it going to hurt by sticking Hawes in the high post and having him run the offense? He's got vision, passing skills, and a love for shooting the ball.
