Well, what is the definition of a difference maker? Would i love to get Grant? Of course. But i think DFS, Royce Oneal, Alex Caruso and others could be had with the right moves without gutting this team and would be difference makers
I love how we always overvalue our players but everyone else dramatically undervalues them. Im not sure id trade Barnes and Huerter for Lavine... Im definitely not throwing Murray in their and i dont think the kings can even trade the 2025 pick due to the Stepien rule.
Honestly best move would...
Had he been added as a piece to the team in the off season but, swapping him for Huerter or barnes PLUS a 1st doesnt move the needle enough in my opinion. It improves us but not sufficiently.
I think a 3 way trade with Blazers and Bulls be beneficial for all parties. The bulls get some win now players on good contracts and a haul of picks and move on from Levin's contract. The blazers get a better lead player (Levine) to pair with their up and coming young guys and a strong mentor...
The only players I am not moving on from are Fox, Sabonis and Murray. losing murray in any deal moves you too far back for the moves to realistically move your team forward in a meaningful way. Fox/Sabonis/Murray and OG/Siakam/Grant are all good moves which add wing defense and more reliable...
uuuummm...how is John "freakin" Salmons not on this list?
For real though:
1. Webber
2. Fox
3. Mitch Ritchmond
4. Peja
5. Bibby
6. Divac
7. DMC (no success what so ever here, but talent wise was probably top 3)
8. Sabonis (will move up to be 3 by the time his tenure is done i think)
9. Brad...
I think you are misinterpretting my post. Its not to say that Monk isnt a better playmaker, its to say when they arent shooting well, Huerter continues to be effective as both a playmaker and scorer. Monk offensively passes, shoots or gets to the cup (with the ball in his hand). If he is...
He brings play making and hustle. Velvet was still effective on the court when he wasn't shooting well. And an off velvet was more effective than and off Monk who didnt playmake well if his rhythm was off. Huerter would still rebound, cut and make plays.
He didnt exactly impress in Detroit. Would have much preferred going after Dwight for the vet min. Bigger body, better offensively and defensively, and more likely to stat healthy. Nerlens also always struck me as very lazy.

Nerlens Noel and the Sacramento Kings have agreed to a one-year, $3.1 million deal.
Noel gives the Kings depth at center.
Noel appeared in 17 games last season with the Detroit Pistons and Brooklyn Nets...
