    2025-2026 Kings Schedule thread

The good news is that the 2026 draft looks promising.

[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (AUG)

Kings were seeded #2 as they led the Pacific Division. However, they had won one less game (59-23) than the Mavs (60-22) and did not get homecourt advantage (based on record). Btw, I still hate a half time score of 83-61. Kings not deciding to come out over the three point line to defend Nick...

[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

There are a lot of speculative articles featuring teams with huge fanbases like the Warriors and Lakers. Anything to get those clicks. It's just business.

    Keon Ellis

Yes, he can be extended only from Feb 9, 2026. A lot of things can change by that time. Hope we quickly sign him before the end of season.

    Keon Ellis

Dude should have signed his extension by now but as usual gets overlooked like here in this thread. If we leave him to reach RFA UFA status, he is as good as gone. EDIT: He is UFA, not RFA at the end of the season.

We did give Peeler a two-year deal but gave him the player option for the second year that he exercised to become a free agent. It was considered a mistake at that time. Anyway, Wallace was getting DNPs here and he was wasted as the human victory cigar here. Going to Charlotte gave him playing...

[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

Kings have made a more than generous offer. They should pull the offer and walk away from the table. If the Warriors are serious, we can re-engage at a later time. We can't foot the bill for the dysfunctionality of the Warriors. They have disrespected Kuminga at every turn. He might take the QO...

[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

Trading the guy that was "all in" on the Kings is so on brand for the organization. As per BYC rules, Kuminga's new contract would count only as $10.5M (50% of $21M) in the trade in return for Monk ($18.8M). This means we would have to take back salary of around $8.3M (maybe someone like Buddy...

[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

"Kings team sources say they’ve offered a three-year, $63 million deal for Kuminga in a proposal that would send veteran guard Malik Monk and their 2030 first-round pick (lottery protected) to the Warriors. If that pick didn’t convey, then the Warriors would get the least favorable of the Kings...

To be fair, 7-11 is such a wide range. In terms of win total (from last season), this varies from 48-36 wins (a difference of 12 wins, which is 15% of the 82 games season). Kings adding vets and not having a Top 6 finish even in the range of possibilities is a sad state of affairs.

[Rumor] Russell Westbrook Expected To Sign With The Sacramento Kings

It’s almost as if Vivek is allergic to any sort of basketball competence. Anjali, you’re our only hope.

Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

Who knew the guy who brought in a decrepit ZBo and Vince Carter in his first stint would continue in the same path? We're not volunteers, we're the hostages.

[NBA] Comments that don’t warrant a thread (JUL/TDOS)

Given the whole gamut of humanity that is on the internet, someone is bound to hate. Only those who strongly feel about something can be bothered enough to voice it. Hence we are left with mainly the extremes (hate or adulation).

[Game] [VSL Championship] Kings vs Hornets, 7/20/2025 7pm Pacific 10pm Eastern (ESPN)

Kuminga is the poster child of talent mismanagement. He was not properly developed by the Warriors and yet he's able to make an impact. He could develop into a #2 guy on a playoff team under the right ecosystem. While IJ is good, I don't quite see that ceiling with him. The peak of that arc is...

IJ is the MVP. He kept us in the game and was the main reason we were right there till the end. I'm not a fan on Kuminga but he is the better NBA player by a wide margin.
