Thank You For Everything Tyreke Evans!

Reke Havoc has remained humble and loyal throughout these dark years in Sacramento. Two traits that speak volumes about what kind of human-being Tyreke is.

This man is not only a great basketball player, who I believe will be a star in NO, but he is also a great person and a true professional.

I think I speak for most Kingsfans when I say THANK YOU Tyreke Evans. You made these last cuple years fun too watch and gave us hope for the future.

I wish you well on your journey in New Orleans! You will be missed!!

And here is my favourite Reke moment

(I woke my family up with cheers at 2am when he hit this. Then broke into random dance, doing the robot for like 45 minutes. Still get chills watching this.)

Thanks for giving us something to cheer about. My granddaughter's first game was the night you sealed the 20-5-5. It's something she will never forget!

Good luck in New Orleans.

EDIT: Oops. I erred. Her first game was the ROY Rally night, when they gave out t-shirts and the Evans masks. (D'oh)

I was at that game too. It was great. I never really know if players, coaches, gms ever see threads like this but this is one that i hope gets seen by tyreke or someone he knows, because he should know that he is thanked for being here with us through these bad times without crying, complaining, or trying to force a trade. It's hard to see a good player go, especially one that wants to stay in this town.

Thank you Reke.

You will always be known as the player that suffered the most due to the Maloofs and Keith Smart.

If nothing changes, I wish you years of success in the league.

And I'm sure you will have some monster games against us ;)

Thank you, Mr. Evans. You were a terrific player for our team, and I am absolutely confident that you will be a terrific player for the Pelicans. I remember the night you were drafted. I was at that draft party. I wanted us to draft Ricky Rubio - there, I admit it. I am glad we drafted you instead. Your rookie campaign was amazing. You gave us hope for the future.

I will be honest with you, when I heard that our team was staying put, and that we were going to be getting new owners, I knew that either you or DeMarcus were on your way out. It is unfortunate that it just has to be you. I am sure you will soar in New Orleans, and I wish you the absolute best in the years to come.

You will be missed. I will still be wearing your jersey.

Thank you, Tyreke. Thank you.

Thank You Tyreke. I met you your rookie year at the Vegas Summer league and I knew you were gonna be a special player in this league. Sorry your talent was wasted because of some Maloofery shenanigans. The dream of having a dominating inside/outside combo was fun while it lasted. Show them what you're capable of in NO.

The guy frustrated me not living up to what I thought he would be after that magnificent ROY campaign. I literally thought we had a future top 5 player in the league. He is a good guy and I hope he does well in New Orleans and his future endeavors

thanks reke....so when will be the official day we take him down from the top of kingsfans.com
Probably once ink has been put to paper.

This is the traditional Thank You thread. No need to junk it up with other stuff. I know Evans' brother has read this forum before...

This move is absolute horsecrap. This is the worst possible start for the new ownership. This really really sucks. What a sad day. It feels like a joke.

Thank you Tyreke. One of my favorite players to watch in the NBA. I wish you the best and hope you Reke Havoc in NO. I will continue to watch you play throughout your career.

Thank you so much Reke! I'm sorry you had to go, you were my favorite player in the whole league, you were so fun to watch, and I'll never forget you posterizing Gary Neal, or taking Kobe to school, or putting Metta in the spin cycle. I'll never forget the half-court shot to beat the Grizz. Thank you....thank you.

Thank you, Tyreke Evans! I started tuning into the Sacramento Kings again the year you were drafted. Now I'm a fervant Kings fan--best wishes to you in NOLA and hope you return here in 4 years when we make for a championship run + in our NEW ARENA :D

Gonna miss Tyreke. ive seen every minute he's played in the NBA and i have always had faith in him to be a star when the coaching/management mess was cleaned up here in Sac, but that wont happen now..... and i also got to meet his brother Doc a few times. the family is a class act and Sacramento is losing a great guy on and off the court.

Best of luck to Tyreke in the future. i hope he makes PDA look really bad for not matching the contract.

We don't know that Tyreke is gone 100% but I quit watching the Kings until Tyreke joined the team. I cant' be more grateful for his presence on the Kings. I wish his time here had been more pleasant.
