well after that 4th quarter, im not so scared of the Lakers. their starting 5 couldnt take out our lineup of one starter, sixth man, 2 3rd stringers, and a guy that wont even be on the roster.................
This is amazing. The Lakers played their starters like a regular season game while the Kings played at around 20 minutes a piece, aside from cousins who had 28..... and WE WON. HOLY CRAP.
The last chunk of this game couldn't be any more fitting. You saw tonight what shooting ability can do for you. The unit that closed the game had shooting, shooting, and shooting. Opened up lanes inside for Cousins and opened up rebounding opportunities. If you didn't recognize that? You don't know NBA basketball!
as much as pre season games don't matter, this is a nice win. The Lakers really tried to break the losing streak and our guys didn't let them and thats without Tyreke, JJ, Isaiah, T Rob in the game.
i hate to say it because i have been the biggest Tyreke fan from the minute he was drafted. but this team seems to look much better when Thornton is on the floor.

Going back to what SacTownfan said, it's a spacing issue. Johnson and Reke on the floor at the same time is a disaster for our spacing and directly affects the looks Cousins gets in the low block. When Garcia and Thornton came in, all of a sudden we saw the paint open up and Cousins getting more open. You can't have 4 guys on the floor who 1. Can't shoot and 2. Are all looking to get to the rim. Teams will pack the paint against us and let sub 30% 3pt shooters in Reke and Johnson chuck from outside

I see where you are coming from. Tremendous individual talent but it's like he can suck the momentum out of a team like Iverson or Carmello does. I LOVE structure, and I don't see much of it with Evans out there (not yet anyway).
Looking forward to Evans getting the starting nod at SG and seeing what he can do with it. The team should be pretty good defensively with Evans/JJ/Robinson hopefully on the floor at the same time. IT is no slouch as well when guarding the opposing PG. The team will probably be better though offensively if Evans isn't on the floor.

I feel the exact same way. As much as I like Tyreke, I can't help but feel that this game wouldn't of had the same outcome had Reke been playing and MT on the bench...Oh well, we'll never know. What we do know is that Dwight Howard's Laker debut (although only preseason) has been spoiled thanks to the Kings.

I really don't want TROB and Hayes on the floor together. If TROB were starter then we could use JT as a backup center when Cuz gets into his inevitable foul trouble.
Evans might do well with Brooks, but I am not sure how his ego handles coming off the bench. We are undefeated with Evans off the bench last year though and we are undefeated when Evans was out. So maybe bring that up to him if he sulks?
Ok I'm watching espn. They get to our game. Not one highlight of us scoring only Kobe and d12. Then at the end it's an oh by the way lakers lost onto the next subject
Been saying that all along, will keep saying that. That lineup gives us the best chance to achieve the maximum amount of wins and best shot at the playoffs.
ya they probably also didnt mention that in a close 4th quarter, it was Lakers starting 5 vs our 3rd string plus DMC & MT. also i bet they didnt mention all 5 Laker starters played over 32 minutes, only one Kings starter played over 21 minutes..................
