[Game] GAME: Kings at Nuggets, 1/4 @ 6PM

Pro players quiting on an inept coach is not new to pro sports. I'm sure as a kid all these guys gave 100% as well. This is different.

Try comparing it to your job. Would you stay after work and work on weekends to fix your bosses mistakes, eventhough you always gave a great effort at your studies as a kid?

They're playing basketball, they aren't having to fix anything...does anyone on the floor look like they're great at their studies?? IT looks like he can suckup and try the whole game, it's sad when the last pick of the NBA Draft shows the only sign of life on your team.

Huh? There's a lot to fix. If you think basketball is just throwing 5 guys out there and having them play hard, you couldn't be more wrong. A lot more to the game then that.

I wasn't comparing our players and their studies. Exactly how did you get that idea?

i was watching the nuggets feed on league pass, announcers were saying they have never seen an offense with so much 1 on 1 play and no movement. pretty much saying "this is the worst team i have ever seen".

What does coaching have to do with elementary mistakes? They have a 3 guard lineup out there pretty much all game and get absolutely burned in transition. How dumb to the players have to be to not know how to run back on Defense?

Try playing transition D when you have three guards. I bet it is pretty hard to stop guys coming at you when they are a foot taller even if they do get back.

Westy said he wants all players crashing the boards. Most likely hasn't specified who should rotate back, since in his public comments he's more concerned with attacking the offensive glass. In a free flowing, unstructured mess of an offense such as we have now, it's much tougher to designate who goes back in transition defense, because every trip up the court we don't know where guys will be or where the shots are coming from.

Whereas of you're running familiar plays, you know when Thornton will get the ball on the left wing for example, and then Reke near the top of the key already know he's the one tracking back. But when we essentially freelance every trip, on top of Westy wanting guys crashing the boards?

That was some of the worst basketball I have seen in a loooong time. It is clear this team has quit on Westphal. We have no cohesion, no unity, no teamwork, or what even looks like the desire for any of that. As another poster pointed out, the Denver announcers were almost blown away at the lack of movement and passing of our offense and they aren't the first commentators to point this out. Every game I've watched this year with the opposing teams announcers, they've made a comment about the lack of ball movement and shoot first mentality of our team. Man it's a good thing the free trial league pass ends this Sunday, cuz I would drive myself nuts watching this all season.

The last thing this town needs is all this drama while we are trying to get the arena deal done. This was a terrible game. I don't know what happened with Tyreke being sick and then comming back? These players make millions of dollars and all they care about is themselves. Westphal didn't look good after the game with his comments. This whole thing apears to have gone bad. Reminds me of the Niners the last few years.

Surely Cuz starts tomorrow - to try and contend with Bogot in the middle.
Bogut will be out, because he stubbed his toe..sooo, that means DMC should see some PT by midway through the 2nd quarter.

(not true about Bogut, but I'm pretty sure about DMC.)

Have we played a team that wasn't missing a player yet?

Lakers - Bynum
Blazers - ?
Bulls - ?
Knicks - Amare
Hornets - Gordon
Grizzles - Z-Bo
Nuggets - Nene

Yikes.
