I have a lot of things to say. This was a tough thread to read. For those of you who are counting the Monarchs out, please don't bother watching the game. We don't need the negativity.
1. LA Sparks had the best record in the conference. We still went to their place and beat them to take the series.
2. We went to Detroit for game 1 and kicked their butt. Why do you think we cannot do it again?
3. If there is a different officiating crew, there is a chance that all the grabs, hold, and elbows by Detroit might get called. While the Shock had 5 more calls against them than the M's did, I saw at least 4 times as many fouls committed.
4. Many of the Shock players left ARCO's floor looking cocky as all hell. While there is something definitely positive about getting your confidence and swagger back, if you take it to a cocky level, you are liable to get your butt kicked..........again.
5. No team has ever won a WNBA Championship on an opponents court. No reason for that to change. We are not playing on Saturday on the Shock's home court. Just like L.A. in the 2nd round, their venue has something else booked. So, once again, the WNBA gets booted to a different location.
6. If you think that playing in Detroit still constitutes playing on their home turf, then okay. Let's have the first team to break with history and go to their turf and steal a title.
7. If you really follow the Monarchs, then you will believe. If you are a fan, that is how it is done.
