[Game] 52/82: Pelicans @ Kings 08 FEB 2025, 7pm PT/10pm ET

Also hats off to the coaching staff for figuring out the perfect way to keep Keon in there during the Klutch (hahahaha)
Could not have worked better. Keon gets the huge stop on CJ with 2 minutes left. Then get DDR back in for a clutch bucket with a 1 minute left.

But again, key is getting and keeping Keon on the floor in these situations. He's not only a game-changer defensively, but his shooting and being a solid connective passer helps balance the offense too. There's 1 less fish on the floor to add confusion to these offensive sets.

Really great LaVine presser going on right now.

-Talks about how the 1st unit came out flat early, unacceptable. Made it a case to start the 3rd Q, set the standard
-Says all he cares about is building cohesion and winning games. Doesn't care about getting to his averages "I've done this long enough"
-Them in transition is a strength right now while they learn how to play with each other. Need to find a way to continue to push the pace
-Keon has some of the best hands in the NBA, gets a ton of deflections and steals. His shooting doesn't get talked about enough

Smart dude. Like him a lot, seems like a real leader type.

Even though we won, I'm not confident with the starters. I'm actually more confident with the bench than starter believe it or not. Jonas play better D than Sabonis. Jake play better D than Trey Lyle. Trey should have no business of jacking up shots...and has no business of getting more minutes than Jake. Jake already shows he's a better player. He does things on the court that win games. He did more winning things on the court than Trey Lyle did combined in his entire career lol.
