De'Aaron Fox Traded to Spurs for Zach Lavine, three first round picks

Where you getting this?

fire them now if true takes two seconds to google

I’d take that pick top 3 protected over the rest of the picks we got maybe not the Minnesota pick
I'm sure Monte would have too although don't underrate the value of a deep pick when packaging multiples. In a worst case the best picks the Kings were always going to have were their own. The magic number is 4-5 picks to make a super duper win now trade. The Kings can actually do that at some point if they need to. Had Monte traded a 1st for Cam, Kuz, Collins, etc. he literally would have taken himself out of any equations later on because of the Hawks pick hold up and the Stepien rule. And even worse if the Kings do rebuild he'd have pulled a Bulls where his own picks have strings attached. Monte did a great job considering the circumstances. He learned a lot the last few seasons. He made mistakes and he doesn't seem to be making the same ones over and over.

the biggest concern with Fox is does the contract age well. If he continues to shoot 32ish percent from 3 and plays inconsistent defense things might not look aa good when he ages. It’s also possible his defense becomes great becuse he will be playing next to a good defender in castle and the alien behind him to clean up any mess

Remember January of last year where Fox took a vaca for the entire month? Remember nobody really knew what the heck was going on? We never did get a sensible answer. Given what we've seen this January, I can't help but wonder if Fox was having some serious trade discussions with management last January - the month before the trade deadline - and ramped down his game accordingly in order to put pressure on management. Or maybe he thought he was going to get traded and wasn't terribly motivated. I guess we'll never know, but the whole Jan 24 period was quite curious.
Honestly, I've sometimes wondered if he isn't slightly bipolar or something similar as I've strived to understand that periods of disassociation... I like your explanation better.

Is Cissoko Bruno 2.0 or does he have any shot at being NBA ready in 2 years?
He's young enough to be a wait and see. He does have some upside and skill. If the league does start trending back towards physicality and less towards shooting that could change someone like him from being a fringe NBA'er that heads overseas for the duration to maybe having a shot.

This trade is not final yet. Rumors are the Kings were unaware of the protections on the Charlotte pick. So on brand.

is it not final because the Kings are pulling out of the deal?
I don't think you can keep doing this and expecting people to take you seriously. I actually appreciate that you add a different perspective to the board and I seek out your content, but this constant "I have sources," but you only reference them when it is to totally flame the front office, is a bit silly. You can't just say something totally outrageous, and then imply that it is based on rumors or inside information you are hearing, and expect everyone to take it seriously, when we have all seen this exact pattern before.

Kev’s goodbye is more heartfelt than, uh, the other one.
Will miss Kev. I wonder if we even have "Light the Beam," without him. He was the player who really embraced it at first, and I remember all the guys on that first team laughing about how Kev was the guy who really loved the beam. He was a big part of taking from a corny thing designed by management to something that the team and city bought into.

I was watching CD, he interviewed the Bulls announcer about LaVine. Obviously, LaVine’s offense is pretty elite, he can do everything on that end. They asked about his defense, and he said that some people gwt this idea about them that they never shake. He claims that LaVine is a strong 1 on 1 defender that does sometimes have lapses, but will basically more than make up for any defensive mistake on the offensive end.

this is not an I have sources comment,

this is strictly an internet rumor (stated as a rumor) and I posting to see if others have also heard it. If I have sources I will post it as such. This rumor is not that and only echoed because the trade is not yet final and I hope (and pray) we get a better pick.

This is a lie... Do you seriously think the Kings would go into a big trade like this and not know everything they were getting back. Trade has been confirmed, but when I read this I just about busted out laughing.

If Keon can turn into whatever he has turned into then I am optimistic about Cissko
Yah Keon when starting is one of the best defensive guards in the league. The guy can shut down people, and hit a three to boot (40%+). 3 and D guy and we should be happy that he will get more minutes. When Fox was gone he was playing lights out, and almost averaging 3 steals a game while shooting well over 50%, and 40% from 3. Overall he's not better than Fox, but in terms of this team, and chemistry is a lot better.

They still are talking about John Collins on 1140. Who gives an F about John Collins? Is he a defensive force? No. Is he going to provide help for Sabonis on D? No. If Utah gives us some of their picks to take him off their hands, great. Otherwise, get lost.
100% agree. We desperately need defenders, and this is not the roster balancing move we need by any means. I really hope we leave him alone, unless it’s a complete steal of a trade.
