Amick: De’Aaron Fox requests trade

Yeah, I have no issues with Beal the player. That contract, though...
I don't see Beal waiving his NTC for the Kings. And I don't like the idea on its face. It also sounds like Phoenix isn't involved in the deal.

However, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to get Beal and a boatload of picks. His contract is slightly less than what Fox & Huerter would make this year and next year. It gives you an off ball SG who would be a lesser player than Fox, but somewhat better in terms of fit as a floor spacer AND it would put him on the DDR timeline. If you draft well then you stay competitive for two seasons with Monk/Domas/DeRozan/Beal and then have young talent to takeover in a couple seasons and likely a fair amount of caproom.

Sure. If they weren't we'd be getting a much bigger return. That or he wouldn't have a reason to leave because he'd be capable of being "that guy" for this team. I think De'Aaron is self aware enough to know that he can't be the best player on a contender. That's why he's looking to be Wemby's wingman for the next five years or so.
He absolutely can be though. That's what kills me. When his give a damn is on I don't think I've watched a more exciting player in Sacramento or most of the NBA during his career. Why is that broken?

Just remember: at times like these it is very difficult to tell the difference between somebody who knows something, and somebody who just wants to throw feces against the wall in the hopes that it sticks.

There may be no deal.
There may be a two-team deal.
There may be a multi-team deal.
There may be a deal with somebody other than San Antonio.

Until something official is announced, it's hard to tell who is in the know and who is pretending.

Which is why I ain't gonna believe ish until I see something official.

The only thing keeping Jeannie Buss from being the worst sports owner in CA is the fact her team is in LA and came with a built in brand.
The Portland ownership trust situation. Phoenix guy is working on it. OKC's owner moved from Seattle and is trying to hold OKC up for an arena, without Presti he is nothing. Both NY teams have been terrible for the expectations that should come from being in New York. Chicago? I'm guessing Charlotte has to be and I think New Orleans.

Vivek is being dumped on for stuff that is ages ago and nobody will let go. It's fine. Almost everyone says he is pretty hands off now except when an owner has to step in like firing the coach the local media just demanded you extend early or trying to talk his star player off the ledge.

I hate some of our fans sometimes.
