Amick: De’Aaron Fox requests trade

Monte is smarter than we give him credit for. He may not make rash or quick decisions but the guy knows who fox is. He's been trying to replace him every draft for years.

When Fox sits we have won good games. I domt know why everyone is so panicked. I like the guys we have on the team when Fox simply sits his ass down.

I want Ellis to start for one and I can't think of any of our starters I honestly don't want to start.
That's a amazing place to be at.

Only thing we need guys is a back up wing and a back up center. We can get that without even trading Fox. The fact that we will still be good no matter how this trade goes down should give at least some credit to the GM.

Everyone needs to relax and be happy we are being talked about for once. And this time we have the keys. How often has that ever happened. We are not tanking no matter what. Enjoy it!
That post by Bam was an eye opener. It pretty much revealed what a lot of fans had been feeling about Fox the player. Then again, Bams experience was with a 19 year old kid so....

I don’t want the nightmare that is Beal’s contract. I’d almost rather lose Fox for nothing than eat that garbage.
definitely not my first choice. Depends on how good the picks are. If it’s 4 picks and our swap back that’s a decent return. Can we deal with him for 2 years if we get top ten picks back? Maybe. Would prefer a different path though

I so wanted to keep Halliburton and trade Fox. When everyone was saying he’s our best player and our leader I never saw it. He’s never looked like a leader. He’s never had that vibe. Halliburton exudes leadership.

If you squint, Beal and Johnson make this team more competitive perhaps than just even having Fox. If Beal can stay healthy he'd go back to putting up some legit star level numbers for sure. Plus those picks. Keeps the team competitive and gets them a stockpile of trade goodies.

I still believe we were trying to trade Fox but he actively tanked his value to being worthless with his season of moping alongside Hali.

If we were taking Beal we had better get picks from every team involved and every pick in the deal. There's just no way. Why would we? Also a useless player that we'd probably have to play instead of our useful guys.

But if you trade Fox instead of Halliburton, you most likely don't have Sabonis, because Indiana didn't want Fox.
We would've had to look elsewhere, and who knows what our return would've looked like at that time???

It's on here somewhere, the gist was Fox doesn't work hard enough, haha. If he came to the Heat he'd have to be a pro every day of work.
He'd have to with whoever succeeds Pop too. Like he can say he didn't get Brown fired and he liked playing for him but why did Brown call him out after every game and why did he take the penultimate play of Brown's coaching career in Sac off in a way that probably gets Brown fired, Fox traded, and a new FO.

Beal isn’t waving his NTC to come here but if you squint still Ingram and Cam works and I’d take Ingram over Beal anyways

I also view him that way - the way they are talking about him as SGA and Luka level is insanity. Acting like he is the centerpiece he is just one pellet of buckshot that we are hoping hits the center of a target.
It could easily be a "false flag" player in which McNair asserts his interest, with the idea that not getting him brings him more in picks or whatever.
