Only question is how Doug faces his next big test here: Keon is too good to not play 30 MPG night in night out. And you ideally want him starting to get more rotations on the other teams best players.

So can he get buy-in from Monk or DDR to come off the bench? Can he get either one of them to be "fine" with not closing, because it's very clear that Keegan and Keon need to close defensively. They elevate this team to a totally different level in the clutch.

Yeh it’s a tough situation. I think he probably keeps Monk starting but puts Keon in a bit earlier. For awhile there under Mike they would pull Monk at around 3 minutes into the quarter. Closing is that much harder. I’m hoping Doug is just flexible and plays the matchups.

Christie will probably use Keon on some bigger players, like he already has against Paul George and Jaquez

Yeah, I'd be surprised if Christie made the switch on Friday, but I thin he can really show his coaching acumen by doing 2 things, even if Keon doesn't start:

-He never has a game below 25 minutes the rest of the season
-He closes
