2024/25 Season Opener

Awesome, deserves to be a TNT game!
I'd be EXTREMELY SHOCKED if we find ourselves playing on TNT/national television opening night. Also, I wouldn't go as far as to say that it "deserves to be a TNT/nationally televised game", not yet at least....I'd say that it would be NICE if it were a TNT/nationally televised game (but only because it would give me an opportunity to watch my team play AT LEAST once during the regular season...:p:p:p), but I'd honestly be stretching it a bit if I actually came out and said that it "deserves to be a TNT/nationally televised game", especially since I/we don't even know what other matchups are on tap that night and, more so, especially since we did find ourselves on the outside of the playoff picture looking in at the end of the day, and those week 1 nationally televised matchups are USUALLY between playoff teams or established rivals that first week of the season.

I'd need to see that day's/night's entire schedule to pass final judgment, and there, virtually, has to be NO other game scheduled that night (including either of the ones scheduled to be shown on national television to begin with) that I would rather see than Kings-Timberpuppies...:):):)

Little by little we’re getting more parts of the schedule released. Today the NBA released the schedule for all the NBA Cup games. Our Kings play:

11/15 vs Twolves
11/22 @ Clippers
11/29 @ Blazers
12/3 vs Rockets
12/10 or 12/11 vs TBD (West Quarterfinal)
12/14 vs TBD (West Final)
12/17 vs TBD (Championship)

You forgot a couple of games. But, since I am a nice guy, I fixed it for you...:):):)

didn’t we have 22 or 23 nationally televised games last year? 7 this year, none in ‘24?
I assume you meant '25, and not '24 (otherwise, your question doesn't really make sense).

And, if my assumption is correct, my answer is that it looks like we apparently will have 7 nationally televised games throughout the 2024-2025 NBA Season.

And, hopefully, most, if not all, of those 7 games will be on non-NBA TV channels...:):):)

That might just change.
Also, keep in mind that, if we have the kind of season we had in '22/'23, you can expect to see a couple of games get flexed into a primetime TV spot (ESPN or TNT), or maybe even ABC when they start showing Sunday morning/afternoon doubleheaders.

So, even if we only get 7 nationally televised games to begin the season, there's still a slight chance that we will be able to see some more.
Also, that does mean that the opposite also holds true, and we might just end up seeing our game get flexed out of a primetime TV spot for a better matchup at that very moment.

We have 7 nationally televised games in the 24/25 season but the first one isn’t until ‘25
(no oct, nov or December games to start the season) is what I meant.

But somehow still have the hardest SOS the 2nd half the year
I am so confused. Where are you and others seeing the schedule? I keep seeing all these notes:

- Cunningham says we open with 5/7 on the road and close with 6/9 on the road
- Carmichael Dave says we have 2 different 6 game road trips
- you say we have the hardest SOS in the second half
- Cunningham says we play the Lakers 3 times in one week in December
- We have 7 national TV games, but none until January

Just curious how we know all of these things, but I cannot find a schedule for anything but our 4 NBA Cup games anywhere.

Also, if we do really have 5/7 and 6/9 on the road to start and end the season, and have two different 6 game road trips, that means that we get 23 of our 41 road games out of the way in 4 chunks. That is actually really good, and would indicate that we have long stretches at home.

To me, the killer last year was not the long road trips, but rather, the lack of long home stands where we didn't have to travel. Every team has long road trips. Those can actually be good bonding experiences for the team and we tend to play well on long road trips. But January and February were brutal because we never had any long homestands to balance it out. We'd have something like 4 on the road, 1 at home, 2 on the road, 2 at home, 3 on the road, 1 at home, 1 on the road. It was the inability to ever get a long homestand for like 2-3 months of the season that was a killer. I recall Kayte saying on one broadcast that we had played something like 20 of our previous 24 games in a different city than the previous game. That is crazy! That constant travelling (even with home games sprinkled in) is much harder than long road trip followed by long home stand.

Hopefully having those 4 really long road trips will mean longer home stands.

Because people like Cunningham and Carmichael Dave are able to get "insider" information before the general public actually finds out, so they reveal these things as they find out.

I get that, but I haven't seen the bit about us having the hardest SOS in the second half posted anywhere. How do we know that? It would seem like whoever determined that has not only our full schedule, but everyone else as well.
