Keegan, Len, and Ellis are out.

Minny leads the Western Conf. and is undeafeated at home. It will stay that way if coach keeps playing HB as a wing defender. Literally it's like re-watching a train wreck over and over.

Let's see if the refs can get it right down the wire (this time).

They have been running a Towns, Reid, Anderson, Edwards, Alexander-Walker lineup a lot and A-Walker is their defensive specialist who will be tasked with guarding Fox.

Oh and the court is 't too horrible/blinding.

To be fair, if there is a team you can get away with using HB as a wing against (at least on defense), it’s the Wolves without McDaniels. They’ve got size and guards but no real wings of note without Jaden playing.

Currently, it is 24 degrees in Minneapolis. The Kings have to come out hot, no matter what it's like outside or how many miles they have traveled on this road trip. I am not kidding...cold weather seems to have an effect on teams from warmer climes. Someone besides Fox and Sabonis has to score.

And they need to focus on the matter at hand, despite the lagging injuries and absence of Keegan Murray. All easier said than done.

If the Kings fail to win tonight, where will that place them for the In-Season Tournament? It's all obscure to me.
The Lakers have already won Group A in the West with a 4-0 record. The Suns have come in second in Group A at 3-1, with a +8.5 differential. They're currently the "team to beat" for the single West wild card spot. To win the wild card in front of the Suns, a team will have to go 3-1 with a better differential.

Our group (Group C in the West) is still pretty unsettled - we've all played fewer tournament games. The Spurs and the Thunder are already eliminated, which leaves us and Minny at 2-0 and GSW at 1-1.

One of Kings/Wolves will be 3-0 after tonight, and the other at 2-1. So the Group C winner will be at least 3-1. Obviously 4-0 wins any group.

The Warriors host the Spurs tonight. If they win, they go to 2-1 and are still relevant. If they lose, they're 1-2 and out of it.

On Tuesday, we host the Warriors and the Wolves play the Thunder. That will be the final determinant. But if we win tonight, we will be in the driver's seat (3-0, and with at least a small differential lead over Minny). If we lose tonight, we will basically have to blow out the Warriors Tuesday to have a chance.

Its just like world cup, we need to win our group. Minnie is 2-0 like us. Point differential breaks ties. We have one more group game, vs GS who's 1-1. After group play it's 8 team single elimination tournament. I think there's six group winners with 2 wildcards

Thanks, that is much clearer! World Cup, I understand.

Kings shot especially bad in every game against Minnesota last season IIRC. Even the game they won.

hopefully that changes tonight. I don’t believe KAT played in any of the games last season

If we play like this and lose, it’s as happy as I’ll ever be after a loss. We won’t keep shooting this well, but the defense is there tonight, early. Activity from everyone, good ball movement and we’re hitting our shots tonight. I’d like to get another early foul on Gobert if possible.
