The next 8 games will be really telling for this team. 7 on the road and 1 at home. Playing Clippers, 76ers, Milwaukee, Toronto, Cleveland and a Detroit team filled with ex players all on the road. We are going to learn a lot about this team

I truly have no idea. I just don't want some crazy losing streak! Maybe they'll surprise us but those Toronto and Cleveland games scare me. The Cavs will especially be looking for revenge, but im hoping we're on a good enough high and healthy before taking on the Lakers. I'd love for both teams to be healthy so we can kill them and knock em down further to the bottom.

Raptors and Cavs both have 3 days of rest before playing us too. Both of those games will be tough because of it, but I think we are much better than the Raptors. We have a better record than them and the East has been mediocre this year. If we have taken a leap this is a game we should win.

3 days rest seems like right where rest hits a diminishing return. Obviously back to backs and 3 in 4s are killers, but often times teams with more than 2 days come out flat. One of the interesting things with this team since we settled in, is if we get a lead early we tend to see it shrink a little then expand (when we get buried early we close it but often it expands back out). So any chance to catch a team flat in the first half is a great way to grab an early lead that hopefully nets a win.

So the bad news is on this road trip we are playing in terms of net rating

#4 Cleveland
#5 Milwaukee
#9 Philly
#10 Toronto

the good news is
#6 Sacramento.

better news is
#16 defensive rating. Sacramento.

At the end of this trip we should have a good handle on this team.

6 and 2. No less than 5 and 3. This team got it. Win streak. Lose streak then bounce back with another win streak? Very un kings like. The team is enjoyjng the game. A lil worried about fox and hurters shooting droubts but monk has more than made up for it and hurter isnt just shooting 3s.

If i ever see fox attempt more 3s than layups again im gonna hurt someone. What a waste. I think hes been injured honestly

Looking at our remaining schedule, I'm predicting:

1. Bucks - W
2. Cavs - W
3. Knicks - W
4. Sixers - L
5. Raptors - W
6. Pistons - W

The Kings absolutely need to capitalize on winning against these Eastern teams. I know the East has improved a lot, but they're easily the inferior conference. Among all teams in the West, we've played the least amount of in-conference games. It just makes this roadtirp that much more important.

All of those teams are very beatable. If things go according to my projections, we'll come home 18-10... not really holding my breath on these predictions lol

Ummmm....you think we're going to beat the Bucks AND the Cavs????

I am being widely optimistic. The Bucks just got Middleton back for the first time this season and I think he's still trying to get into rythm which gives us an advantage. They're a great team in the league, but they've had one of the easiest schedules with 13 of their 23 overall games playing against teams with a losing record (below .500). Compared to the Kings, only 8 of our 22 games have been against teams with losing records.

The Cavs are going to be tough... I think they'll be out for blood after barely just losing to us. If we can get their bigs in foul trouble, I think we take the W.

Early 6 game road trips are where Kings teams of the past have buried their seasons but I like where the team is at right now heading into another big test. Fox needs to shake loose of whatever has been ailing him -- he showed signs of that against the Bulls. Keegan and Harrison are finally both looking alive at the same time. Red Velvet is due for an epic bounce back shooting night any time now. Monk is cooking. KZ and Davion have both found their niche in the rotation and Domas is looking more and more like he's found his All Star form. The Toronto game is the only back-to-back here and will probably be the toughest game of the trip -- my guy OG is flirting with a DPOY award for the Raptors and that team is well-coached and always plays hard.

I don't like predicting wins and losses but if we come out in that first game and look respectable against Milwaukee I like our chances against the rest. We "lucked" into facing the Sixers for the first time this season with Harden and Embiid both expected to play but they haven't had a lot of time to build chemistry together yet and we have. Bottom line though, the Kings have been a top 5 team so far this season -- only Cleveland and Milwaukee on this road trip have better point differentials and they've been able to pad them by beating on Orlando, Detroit, and Charlotte multiple times. Part of being a winning team is expecting to win and we should go in to every game now knowing that we'll have a chance to win if we play our offense and execute our defensive assignments.

Just give me 1 win vs those teams and take care of business vs the Knicks and Pistons and we escape this trip 3-3. I honestly wouldn't have believed you if you told me this 13 game stretch that we'd have a real chance at going 7-6. Probably the toughest stretch of the year. And the schedule really opens up after for like the next 15 games where we can really make a push. 11 of those next 15 at home and only the Nuggets, Grizz and @Jazz games are ones I'd call actually tough.

Hornets
Lakers
Wizards
Nuggets
Nuggets
Jazz
@Grizzlies (we play them twice on the road this year? That sucks)
@Jazz
Hawks
Lakers
Rockets
Rockets
@Spurs
@Lakers
Thunder

.
If he is having that type of season and you have Siakam, Barnes, Van Fleet and Nurse you wonder why they are 12-12. It’s early yet and Siakam has missed some time but it seems like they are underachieving. I noticed they only played 8 guys tonight so maybe it’s a depth issue.

I'll have what you're having. I don't think we have an answer physically for Giannis. We might be able to catch them sleeping because they haven't played us yet, but it's doubtful.
I'm doubtful Cleveland takes us lightly based on having already lost to us, and they have the size to beat us. That looks like 2 losses.
Knicks and Pistons SHOULD be wins, and I'm not sure what's happening in Toronto, so that feels like a toss up.
I think the Sixers and Bucks are a lock for a loss. Cavs are up there, but somehow I think that will be a toss up like Toronto. I guess I'm saying I wouldn't be surprised at either 4-2 or 2-4. 1-5 seems way more likely than 5-1. I'm more interested in seeing how the team responds if we do go 1-5. We've shown stronger than anticipated, so if we falter here, we will have the opportunity to feast soon.

they may be not as deep as the west but their top is equal or better.
