Trade Deadline Thread

James Ham @James_HamNBA
Confirmed that the Kings have agreed to trade Marvin Bagley to the Pistons. Trey Lyles, Josh Jackson and Donte DiVincenzo coming to Sacramento. Kings need to clear 2 roster spots. They have time to do so before all trades are finalized in the next 3 hours. Kings aren’t done.
Yeah I’m guessing they move Richaun which he has earned.

Really hoping we can move Holmes for Washington.

Would be a bummer to have Holmes on our roster after the deadline. He logged 11 minutes last night with Sabonis here. I'd expect his trade value to go decrease as he continues to play in the backup role. Now is the time to strike.
We keep coming back to the Hornets but the reality is Charlotte could have signed him to a decent deal in the offseason and didn't. Now we hear the rumors they want to trade with the Spurs. It is surprising as he seems like a good fit with them. The landing spots are thinning it out it seems. Jr Uh Oh has been one of my favorite players of this current squad and I would like to see him end up in a situation where he can thrive.

The only four teams that make sense for Holmes are Charlotte, Dallas, Golden State and Toronto. I suppose you could throw the Spurs in there if you believed they want a relatively young center on a team friendly contract.

If the Kings can't find a landing spot for him, I guess you keep him in the back up role, getting rid of Len in the offseason.

National media two days ago: LOL KANGZ
National media now:
I've been wanting DDV since the failed move and Haliburton took a lot of the sting off - with Haliburton out it now makes perfect sense to bring DDV in. It sucks we dug such a huge hole but I feel like if we can get into the play-in we'd stand a real good chance to get into a real series.

Also I think this just reaffirms my belief that in the future when hopefully there is no play-in, that they do some kind of mini tourney to boost lotto odds or something to reward teams that try instead of those that give up.

If there isn't a great deal out there I would prefer to ship him in the offseason, Monte has hopefully shown the haters that patience is a virtue. If this doesn't work out save this post and roast me, but I've been saying all along taking incremental moves just to shuffle and do something was the same as its been since the drought began. I truly believed Monte had a plan and has been working to execute it.

No offense to Gentry who seems like a good dude for not saying f you mid-season but I hope he had a head coach in mind when he was hired and will get to hire that guy.

we need more time to gel. last night was adrenaline. it was fun though

Current Kings depth chart:
Sabonis/Holmes/Jones/Len/Queta
Barnes/Metu/Lyles
Holliday/Harkless/Josh Jackson/Woodard/King
Donte Divincenzo/Lamb/Terence Davis/Ramsey
Fox/Davion

Holmes and Len the obvious remaining trade candidates but who knows what the Monte-Lord will bring us?
I dont think you can start DD next to Fox. Too poor of shooting. But Defense with DD and Holiday would be good.
