Bizarro Wide World of Sports Lin Championship

That is about right. I see us finishing #8 too.

Although I am holding out hope that the Nets can squeak out a couple of wins to at least tie us at the end.

I don't think we out Lin Chicago. If the Knicks can win at least 1 or 2 more, they would be comfortably out of reach for us.
I can easily see Brooklyn winning 3 more games seeing they play Orlando once and Chicago twice both of which appear happily in tank mode. Of course this mean Chicago will leapfrog us for the for the Lin but we expect that anyway.
So if we cool it a bit on the wins it could even go 6. Chicago, 7. Sacramento, then Brooklyn and New York at 8 and 9.
Odds and probabilities, got to love it.

I relooked at Brooklyn’s schedule I think we finish at 7 they get 8

Bummer, Knicks lost in OT tonight.

Let's hope both they and Orlando find a way to finish ahead of us, but I think that's becoming more and more unlikely with the Kings set up to win 3-5 more games.
Another good game by Dwight Howard vs our Lin competition. I thought the guy was washed up and nearly out of the league, but no he's actually an indirect King killer.
Oh and lookie there, Memphis has won two of their last three. Tanking, no not us.

Knicks and Lakers wins would have been good tonight, but with the Lakers having 32 wins, it is now impossible to do more than tie them for 9th/10th, and no way we're going 8-0 while they go 0-8, so I'm thinking 8th with luck, 9th without. Those Chicago-Brooklyn games may end up being crucial, as will be the NY games against Detroit and Orlando.

The Lakers could have guaranteed the Kings the #9 slot by getting a win today, but instead they got themselves eliminated from the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Knicks had a shot to win one at the buzzer, but missed and lost by a ton in OT. The Grizzlies did get a win, but at this point they're not really too relevant for the Kings.

Tuesday features one mildly interesting game (the Bulls traveling to Houston - if you think the Bulls have a snowball's chance) and one supremely interesting game, that being of course the Mavericks coming to the Golden 1 Center. Lineups for this game may be...interesting.

We've been rope-a-dope tanking the whole time! Vlade, you dirty dog you.
He can make up for it now put the order in Vlade!!

Silver made empty threats that only us and Chicago (for a while) fell for. Nobody will be punished look at Memphis, Phoenix, and Atlanta they all laughed at Silvers threat

Just when you thought we were going to go and make that push towards securing the #9 slot, we manage to out-ugly the Mavericks to make things begin to look reasonably interesting here in the middle of the Tankathon. The Bulls did hold serve and lose to the Rockets, but by staying at 24 wins the Kings have now guaranteed no worse than the #9 slot (we will finish in front of the Lakers) and are within true shouting distance of the #5 slot.

Wednesday's games feature 7 of the 9 Lintenders in action. The marquee game is the Magic hosting the Nets. Either the Nets pull into a tie with the Kings, or the Magic pull into a tie with the Mavericks. Either way, somebody is going to get closer into range. Outside of that, the Knicks travel to Philly, the Grizzlies host the Blazers, the Hawks travel to Minnesota (can they pull a Memphis?), the Suns host the Clippers, and coming off of a big win, the Maverick head down to Staples to take on the Lakers. My guess is that of the five teams not playing each other, at least one will come away with a win.

Nets get the win over Magic. I recon that's good, we will most certainly win out over Orlando but if Brooklyn wins both games against a heavily tanking Chicago we will have at least one of those teams higher than us in the standings. Looks like NY is about to lose.

And Memphis surprisingly wins over Portland, not that it helps us any. I'm happy with the expected Brooklyn win, though.
Its funny that they lost 20+ in a row and now have won their last 3 of 4. It may help us though as this puts Phoenix firmly in last place meaning they may actually not roll over at home when we play them next.

As we knew, either the Nets or the Magic had to win. It turns out it was the Nets, who have pulled into a tie for 6/7/8th place with the Kings and Bulls (by win totals). And, I got lucky in my prediction that at least one other Lintender would come through as the Grizzlies pulled one out over Portland - not that that means much for the Kings' standings.

Thursday has a light Tankathon schedule. The Kings host the Pacers in a game where the standard deviation of the number of expected fans in attendance is really high. And the Bulls travel to Miami, where the new NBA uniform rules mean we won't know ahead of time whether or not we are rooting for the team in white with red numbers.

Not much action tonight, but the Kings and Bulls both held serve. With the loss, the Kings moved into 6th place in the standings - with the caveat that with losses "expected" at this point, it's really wins that determine everything. So, maybe it's better to say that the Kings are in the best position (schedule ignored) of the teams tied for the 6th-8th spots.

There are 6 Tankathon teams in action on Friday. The marquee matchup is Chicago at Orlando - another game resulting in a guaranteed win for some Lintender. In other games... The Hawks host Philly, newly without Joel Embiid - but with the Hawks three wins down from the Kings, even a chance for a win here probably wouldn't change much. The Suns travel to Houston and the Grizzlies travel to Utah in two more games for teams likely out of reach. Lastly, the Mavericks host Minnesota, who recently dropped one to the Grizzlies...so you never know!

with 6 games left and looking at all the Lin teams remaining schedules I recon it only maters what Dallas, Brooklyn , and Chicago do. I don't think we will lose out to new York or win out over Suns, Grizz, Hawks, or Magic. I know most of this is obvious, but it makes me comfortable that we should not be picking lower than 8 and there will be talent there.

We can easily win the next 5 which is concerning to our draft position.

GS is injured and we balled out with Indiana falling just short, i expect us to come out hard here. We have killed an injured GS twice already this season.

Lakers is a coin flip, i dont rate them and can see us walking out having dominated them

PHX and MEM you have to expect us to win - professional tankers

Spurs, struggling without Leonard and marred in politics at the moment. Recently got it back together but its not convincing.

Vlade its time to really let the kids play. Bruno, Cooley, Sampson et al have been part of our team for awhile now. no moral issue here with giving them extended burn.

GSW has Durant back and Klay might play we’re not winning at all

Lakers isn’t a coin flip in LA there decent I expect to lose that as we’re tanking

We’re not beating San Antonio whose playing for there playoff life.

Houston will test there players last game hopefully they play enough vets. Pheonix and Memphis are the only games that scare me

Honestly i have us winning 3 out of our last 6 minimum. We're playing well. Fox will up his production V the lakers and we'll take that one. We have done the warriors already with Klay in the line up, Bog will smother him on defense. Durant needs to get his big time because Draymond goes missing against us typically. Willie, Bog, Buddy and Mason all get up for the Warriors. It will be interesting and far from a scheduled loss.

Unfortunate the Mavs have a tough run in, will be difficult to overtake them. Bamba may be the BPA but we must maintain 6th worst/hope to jump

I think barring something bad we don’t pass Brooklyn. They play Chicago twice and Boston who will be locked into the 2nd seed by then. And no way we beat GSW again with Durant playing
