Telemachus Prediction Game 2016-17: (Prediction-) Game Over!! See You in a New Thread Next Season

That one was a much "better" L, in the sense of the hope it may incite.
But a loss is a loss is a loss...

The OT pushed the scores higher than anyone predicted.
@lwc got the margin almost right and led the field tonight.
@gil renard, @SLAB & 2 more KFs got the winner right.

The overall leaderboard was shaken a bit, as @lwc replaced @km23 at #2.
(You shouldn't feel bad @km23: You would have been ousted even if you had posted on time for your prediction to count)

We now have 5 days of rest, and then it gets brutal, as we first host
a sequence of tough opponents: SAS => LAC => TOR => OKC => HOU
(no B2B in there this time! shocking! :rolleyes:)
then we go on a 6-game road trip that begins with a B2B.

Since we're taking a long break, I thought it would be nice
to summarize our achievements in the prediction game.

So far, 9 of us got to see their names as the daily #1,
and 4 of us even had multiple daily wins.

Here's the list of KFs who were daily leaders,
with the number of times each of them got there:

KingsFan | # of Daily Wins
==================
@alonshin ........................3
@lwc ..................................2
@LoungeLizard ..............2
@VF21 ...............................2
@km23 ..............................1
@sono ................................1
@Blob ................................1
@Tetsujin .........................1
@Russell Pimphustler ...1

Interesting enough, the game's best player (overall leader) so far, @gil renard,
had 4 or 5 daily podium appearances, but was never the winner of the night!!

* The number of daily wins for each player will be shown in the full score-sheet from now on.
:)

I'm beating myself up because I'm only down by 76 points and I've missed two games. Kudos to @gil renard for consistently showing up every night. Slow and steady wins the race and it is being proved right before our eyes.
Well, I agree about the importance of persistance... :)

And the margin between you and the 1st place IS indeed
about two games worth (at the rate you're going), so those
games may have taken you to the lead, or very close to it...

It actually appears that you and @gil renard are practically
identical in your points per prediction pace (nice... PPPP).

If you check the average grade you got per each prediction
MADE, not counting the ones you missed, the average is:
@gil renard .... 37.0 pts per prediction
@lwc ................. 36.8 pts per prediction

But then you have to raise your hat for the dude at #3... :cool:
@alonshin missed the first THREE games and is still only
92 points behind, which puts his average above you two:

@alonshin ....... 39.4 pts per prediction
@gil renard .... 37.0 pts per prediction
@lwc ................. 36.8 pts per prediction

Nice breakdown. This stuff is really cool.

Well fought. well played. Still a loss.

9 of us predicted a L and faired better in scores.
The other 8 were hopeless optimists (or fools).

Of the wiser bunch, @km23 and @Tetsujin missed the margin by just one point and took the daily throne (both - for the 2nd time),
which helped @km23 oust @alonshin at 3rd place on the overall leaderboard.

I was going to predict this as a W.
The problem is that them Clips got beaten the other night, after going an insane 10-1 earlier...
Can we really surprise them again and create a first L-streak for them?
Doubtfull...

Then again - I love slim odds! :D

Kings 112
Clippers 105
