At the risk of numbnut Vivek staying I'm dumb again.

LaVine and Stouskas both guys two guards in college, similar bodies. Coach thought Stouskas could ad some ballhandling skills....

Good comparison, unfortunately they are not even close in ballhandling. Lavine looks very confident with the ball in his hands and Stouskas doesn't look strong taking the ball to the hoop right now. If he can do more, just like to see it.
LaVine is playing PG for his team and he has 2 assists. Stauskas is playing SG and he has 5.

Lavine was drafted to play PG. It's well known his ball handling is better than Stauskas' and pretty much any SGs

The difference is that laVine has to "prove" himself and Nik doesn't.
Nik's game isn't that of a ball dominator.
He is going to fit really well with cousins and Rudy since he is a ball mover.
Zach has a ton to prove since all he showed in college was potential.

LaVine showed zero point guard skills at ucla.
Him going with the pgs at the combine is purely upside hype.
He is drafted as a potential guy.
We will see if be makes it.

LaVine is having a nice showing, I'm not trying to dismiss him or anything, they're just different types of players. He's been dominating the ball for his team and leading them in scoring. He's a high ceiling elite athlete who's still learning how to fit his talents into a team game. He's a bit like Ben McLemore in that regard. Stauskas is showing us right now how he can impact a game without even taking a lot of shots. He's dished off 5 assists, all of the quick-hit variety by moving without the ball and making smart passes to open cutters. And he's making threes at an elite rate. That's what we drafted him to do. We don't really need another high-ceiling athlete as much as we need a floor spacer who can move the ball without making a lot of mistakes.
