So I actually went to this game (I know alot of you have gone to games) but I found this one particurally interesting being the Clippers Kings rumors that have been going around.
1. Artest looks absolutely lost out there. It's very difficult to see when you are watching TV, but when he is off the ball he basically leaves about 5-8 feet of space between him and his man, and let's him do pretty much whatever he wants. He tried it on Maggette who ran off six straight points and then was pulled for Salmons.
2.There were countless times when Artest would wave off Mike, Brad, and Kevin to do his own thing. And on defense he often left his own man to go freelancing, leaving his teamates completely blindsided as to what was going on. Not only that, but there were about 5 times when a player from the Kings would go up to Ron seemingly to ask him what the hell he was doing.
3. I sat two rows behind the Maloof brothers. You might have seen me, I tried to wave everytime it looked like they were panning to the Maloofs. And I heard them say things all with the same message "What the hell is Artest doing?!" And also said a few times "This is ridiculous, they're just standing around!" "O come onnnnnnnn Muss don't take out Reef!" Bottom line: They did not seem very happy at all with the team or Ron.
4. Reef was the ONLY one besides Mike doing anything in the fourth. And Muss pulls him for... Brad Miller? Who got absolutely abused by Kaman a few times on the boards and on defense.
5. Kevin not only looked exhausted out there, but often got the
look on his face when they did ISO's with Ron, Corliss, or Kenny. And I must say (even though his shooting wasn't that great) I can't blame him.
6. Ron looked gimpy out there. Every free throw he would do the what I have come to call the "Artest limp" back to the opposite ends free throw line. In which it almost appears as if he's walking on glass. Wincing and all. I'm sure this wouldn't have settled to well with the Clippers big wigs.
7. I can't seem to understand Muss's substitutions at all. He'll throw in Cisco for like 2 minutes spirts, Douby for 2 minute spirts etc. Either give them no minutes, or a decent amount of minutes to actually do something.
8. There was no heart out there. They looked like a beaten team from the minute they stepped on the court.
9. On a positive note, someone from the Kings did pantsed Corliss Williamson while they were doing their pre-game huddle (you know where they all get in a circle and bob back and forth)
