Labissiere will miss 2/3 weeks with a shoulder injury per the Kings.

Sacramento Kings forward Skal Labissiere will be out for approximately 2-3 weeks with a strained left shoulder he has experienced since mid-January. An examination on Tuesday by Bay Area orthopedic specialist Dr. Marc Safran confirmed a rotator cuff muscle strain.

In his second NBA campaign out of Kentucky, Labissiere has appeared in 42 games (18 starts) for Sacramento this season, posting 7.9 points (.463 FG%, .348 3pt%, .753 FT%) and 4.5 rebounds in 18 minutes per contest.

Shame, this time of the year he'd of probably seen a whole lot of minutes, this is gonna hold him back some now.

3 weeks, I'll assume the worst and calculate the numbers

7 games before the break, no way he plays those. Find it likely he'd come back on the 22nd first game after the break. A couple of games to get back into swing.

Like a 10 game lapse when it was his time to shine.

I really feel sorry for Skal. It seems he's walking under a perpetual dark cloud. I truly hope this doesn't set him back again. He has a spark...I'm not sure what it is, but there's just something there that tells me he could be very good.

Hate to hear this. Maybe he will be like Fox and play at a higher level once he returns.
Two things I would like to see from Skal going forward:
1) Make smarter decisions with a sense of urgency- mainly speaking on the defensive end and this will hopefully come with time
2) Be more aggressive specifically in the paint- this is something Skal will have to find within himself. He is almost too nice. Rarely you might see him shake his head when he is hit with an occasional bad call. Otherwise he doesn't show much "eye of the tiger". I would love to see him exert his will more in the paint, and also not take too long to make a decision. He would make a hell of a dunker.

Get healthy Skal!
