Webber wouldn't even sign for a contender for the veteran's minimum; why would he come back here at all, after the way we played him, let alone for the minimum?

If Webber gets bought out that means he got paid right? That's a reason he might sign for the vet minimum. Not necessarily in Sacramento but I could see him chase a ring.

I'd love to see him back in Sac for the vet min, but he would probably want to go to Detroit and finish out his career there.

Oh my word... Come on... Webber can't play basketball anymore. Why do we want an old fart who thinks he is the man... but can't jump or run.

Webber can;t play basketball to the tune of still putting up better numbers than anybody in our frontcourt while havingt to actively fight his teammate and coach for the ball.

But in any case, I would find it very odd indeed for him to come back here unless he was tryign to prove a point. Far more likely he goes to Miami or some such to pick up a ring. And if Philly does that, that's going to send up huge shockwaves around the league -- a giant wildcard out there, still more than talented enough to be a tipper in an otherwise neck and neck race for the title. And on the other hand, also possible of messing up a team's chemistry if it goes sour. In any case, Webb >>> Walker, so Miami calls. Webb and Duncan together? Cuban will call, because he collects players as a hobby. Houston is injured and in desperate need of a PF. Etc.

^^ yup and you would have to think, we know Webb wants a ring bad, seems he could be a nice fit on a contender somewhere
