Send a Message to the League!

Dear Mr. Stern,

Disgusting. Absurd. Crazy. Repulsive. Revolting. Insane. Preposterous. Where is the justice, Mr. Stern? How can this continue to? How can I be a fan of a league that I feel is unjust. How can I put faith into a sport, spend time, money and immeasurable emotion when I cannot be sure that it is fair, that I am getting my moneys worth WATCHING THE PLAYERS? I love basketball because of what these athletes can do. I love watching them give every ounce of their heart and soul, but this? For them to not be rewarded is a disgrace. Do something.

Sincerely,
A long time concerned fan.

If you realy wnat them to pay attention cancle Leage Pass and write to Sprite telling them you will not be watching the All Star game. ;)

Excellent point. Hit them in their pocketbook and they might actually open their eyes.

Please if you contact the league, be curtious and proffesional. We don't want to sink to the level of Detroit fans.

I sent one...

Two games in the same week... I am sorry for you guys. I hope it gets better for you, or better it will be fair for all the teams.

Here is the one I just sent:

I am a fan of the Sacramento Kings and just got done watching the Kings-Mavs game. I am so discusted with the officiating in this league that I am considering not watching anymore. Several years ago I began watching the NBA as a means to have a sport to watch in the NFL offseason. The officiating in the NBA has always been among the worst in any sport, but the last couple of years it has become just horrid. I agree that the goaltending at the end of the Kings-Suns game can be debated but the one tonight was just blatant and cost the Kings their second game in a week. I firmly believe that it was a retaliation against Cutino Mobely for calling NBA refs 'crybabies'. Well they just proved his point. When will this league stop blaming players for reacting to a bad call and start holding their officials accountable for THEIR actions on the court. A concerned fan.

At this point all I want is an official appology or at least a recognition that we were victims of two bad calls at crucial times.

If this league is supposed to be for the fans, than the league should give fans some recognition.

Great E-Mail!!! It is similar to the one I sent!!! Everyone Keep sending them

I don't think it will be addressed until it is recognized in the national media as being a huge problem. If it is just us in Sacramento complaining, it will be dismissed as coming from passionate fans who are dissapointed their team lost four straight.

The national Media is almost a bigger problem then the refs...

What would happen if the league were to appologise? Would it just be words or would they take two losses off of our record... probably not, but that would be cool. Actually getting an apology would be cool, and they would probably do something about the refs, like putting in instant replays for the refs to review in tough situations, or something.

But none of that will probably happen. The Kings should quit the NBA and join the ABA and win back to back to back to back to back to back championships there.

It is only a matter of time before some sort of replay system is instituted. It's inevitable. Unfortunately, it'll do us no good this season so the team better make nice with the refs for their own sake. The Maloofs needs to hire a team lobbyist, seriously.

The buzzer-beater review came into effect because of Samaki Walker's late 3 against us that was counted, and Baron Davis' 3 that was good but not counted, both plays decided playoff games. When there is a big enough hubbub over the blown calls something will be done, and I think the guys complaining after Phoenix is money well spent, because it hastens the change.

how great would it be for the next nationally televised home game for the maloofs to hand out paper glasses. imagine eveyone faces when they turn on the game and just see everyone in arco wearing glasses

That's a great idea, but unfortunately I can't see the Maloofs ever doing that.

Yeah great idea... And when the Kings never get a call you'll know exactly why.

This is starting to get obsurd. Makes us Kings fans look like the whiny fans we were and I was from 87--03. Bad enough our players need pacifiers and blankies but do we as fans need them too?

I'd like to see them adopt the NFL replay rule where each coach has a limited number of challeges with plays challengeable strictly defined and timeouts given up for wrong challenges or inconclusive ones. Closest thing to a good compromise.

As I mentioned in another thread though -- how does that work in a game of continual motion? You can't just stop play to go have a challenge. And if play goes on, how do you go back and change something that happened a minute ago, and that altered all of the play afterward?

I sent one.....
Just had to do it. And yes, it would be nice if they at least recognized that there is a problem with officiating.
KINGS deserve an appology

I have never been so angry.....

The Kings get NO Respect! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!
Sure, a officiating mistake is to be expected every now and then when it comes to basketball, but 2 times IN ONE WEEK!!! I am absolutely appalled at the last minute calls the Kings have recieved and NOT recieved in the past week againt Pheonix and Dallas. Thousands of people saw the true nature of these call, but the fate of both games were put into the hads of three men, who I feel personally, should lose their jobs after this little episode. Why is instant replay not a factor in basketball? I saw both replays, and it was clear that the officiating was wrong. When the anouncers themselves complain on national television about the call, you know it was a mistake that SHOULD have been corrected. And this took place in two MAJOR games for the Kings I might add.

Bad Calls happen, but the fate of a game should never be rested on them. This was the biggest load of BS I have ever been fed, and my team, who WON both of these games, should now be only 4 games behind Pheonix for the Pacific Division, but are now at 7 because of three idiots who clearly do not know what they are doing.

It's times like these that I question being a NBA fan. Come to think of it, I'm NOT an NBA fan, I'm a Kings fan.

I hope NBA do something about the refs not doing the right calls. I don't want to see bad calls when playoff comes! Especially to our Kings. It have cost us a game or two! :(

Boo to the NBA refs!
