Offense (Scoring & Passing)
Once one of the best scorers in the NBA, but that was a long time ago. Was damaged goods before he even reached Sacramento, and has only been a shell of himself since arriving. Still has the spinning post moves that were always his trademark, but now they are firmly rooted on the ground. Has a flat nearly arcless midrange jumper that goes in more often that it looks like it should, and sporadically tries to extend that out to three point range. A black hole in the post, and often the whole offense grinds to a halt while he tries to create a shot. May be done at this stage -- when briefly seen at the beginning of last year was glued to the ground.

Defense & Rebounding
In his first couple of years in Sacramento showed solid man defense in the post, keeping his body in between his man and the hoop and making people shoot over him. Was never a help defender at all -- has not blocked shots since he was young and athletic, and began his career as a SF, not a power player, and shows no instinct for stopping penetration. Arrived in town with shaky knees and has gone from bad to worse on the boards, and is one of the weaker rebounding bigs in the league. Many of the ones he does get are on offense -- in other words help him to score. On the other end its not been pretty. With the knees taking a turn for the even worse last year, may be completely ineffective at this point.

Intangibles
Basically missed all of last season with knee isssues, and may be done now -- is apparently considering a medical retirement, which would be a real boon to the Kings (insurance would pick up his contract). Knees have been in a steady state of deterioration ever since he arrived, and you could practically hear the creaking as the former NBA ironman lurched down the floor. Has a rep as a class act around the league and has never caused problems in Sacramento.
