Interesting article on Salmons from the Philly news:

And then came Dec. 23 of last season, after a 111-108 loss in Atlanta, a night when Iverson scored 53 points. In the final, hectic 2 minutes, 21 seconds, Salmons missed two three-pointers and had a two-pointer blocked. Afterward, he said he heard "other people talking behind their breath, snickering and all that."

"This team ain't really a team, playing and acting the way we act around each other," he said.

It is a moment he regrets.

"For 3 ½ years, it was great," he said. "What I regret most is that I didn't handle that situation the right way. The last half-year wasn't great. The last half-year, I tried to mend the relationship. It was awful what I said."

And I like this:

With a new contract and new address in hand, he got married during the summer, then lived in the Sacramento area by himself "for a while" until his wife, Taniesha, joined him.

"I almost feel like this is the Promised Land almost," he said

Hallelujah! Welcome to the Promised Land, brother!! :D

Interesting article about Salmons, thanks you.
that show you what kind of man he is !
John Salmons for 6th man of the year ! :D

Hey that's pretty interesting actually. I don't think its awful at all what he said, guess the mistake was saying it to the media and getting on AI's bad side though. Kinda tells you something about who the team player is here. God forbid someone else besides AI should miss some shots.

I hope the promised land quote was sincere too though, I really like having Salmons here longterm (and happy about it) because I like his team game and versatility. He's doing a great 6th man and I could easily see him in the Christie/Battier starting role if the cards ever fell that way.

I'm waving my autographed mateen cleaves towel at Salmons triple-double right... now!
