Report: Kings trade Temple to Grizzlies for McLemore, Davis

The Sacramento Kings will trade guard Garrett Temple to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard Ben McLemore, forward Deyonta Davis, cash and a 2021 second-round pick, according to an ESPN report Tuesday. The Kings will gain an extra $1 million in cap room from the deal, giving them $20.5 million, which is easily the most in the NBA. Temple, 32, averaged a career-high 8.4 points in 24.8 minutes per game last season for the Kings, shooting a career-best 39.2 percent from 3-point range in 65 games (35 starts).

Garrett Temple, is on his way to the Memphis Grizzlies. In return, the Sacramento Kings receive former King Ben McLemore, along with big man Deyonta Davis, cash considerations and a 2021 second round draft pick. Temple opted in to the final year of his 3-year, $24 million deal in late June and was due $8 million this season.
