Unless there was a third team involved, sorta like that Sacbee trade scenario with Utah.
 
How about Mobley for Christie?? I second that..Mobley is terrible you look at the numbers and they are solid but he does nowhere near what doug did.
 
First of all, the Mobley deal was not so much for this season as it is for the future. Doug had an extra year on his contract while Cat's is up after this season (he has an option and has stated he won't exercise it, at least not while he was with Orlando). If Mobley does not exercise it then it will free up a good chunk of cap space for the Kings and if you thought that DC was looking old this year just wait 'til next season.

IMO, Petrie has to be looking to make a move, not just for the sake of making one, but one that will greatly improve this team. I think that the only safe players might be Bibby and Brad and that if a trade is done before the deadline it may involve Pedja and/or Bobby...that's if they have already decided whether or not they are going to exercise the team option on Bobby after this season.

I was thinking the same thing, UNLESS they gave us a couple players with expiring contracts after this year. I totally wouldn't be against starting Songalia for the remainder of the year if that meant getting rid of Webbers, and whoever we got for Webber after this year.

Maybe MAYBE MAYBE that would make Peja happy.. A Happy Peja, is a superstar Peja :)

There is no such thing as a superstar Peja. There is at best a prolific scorer still utterly dependant on his teammates to make him better, without the ability to return the favor. That ain't a superstar. Sorry.

Well, it's human nature. I am not saying that he is a horrible player the way that he is playing now, but anyone that is unhappy will not perform the same that a happy content person will.

I was being kind of optimistic when I referred to him as a superstar but I am sure he could tack on another 5ppg, a rebound, and about 5% on his shooting if Webber were not here. But as it stands now, I do not want either one of them in our uniform the way they have been acting/performing.
 
truth is we need someone that slashes strong towards the hoop. we have too many shooters and it makes our game one dimensional. acquiring Paul Pierce would be an awesome trade for the Kings.

Yes, but:

a) it takes two to Tango
b) Pierce has long been an interesting idea, but the one potential drawback is that he may need the ball in his hands much more than Peja. Peja's ability to score without having the ball for more than a few seconds is very useful on a team full of passers because he doesn't have to dominate the ball and take away touches from teammates.
 
I read somewhere on ESPN due to the late winning and division leading of the Celtics, that Boston has shyed away from trades right now on PP. but that's just espn again.
 
Best case scenario is that New Jersey blows up, Kidd demands a trade to Minny, and the Carter wants out and we can get him for Peja+change.
 
Actually, I would welcome a move for Donyell Marshall more, just to shake things up a little bit. Save the blowups for the offseason (Peja or Webber deals).
