It'll be interesting, if Purdy manages to stay health all season, I wonder if Jones would take backup money going forward long-term - I doubt it. However if they pull it off, they'd be fairly well set at QB for several years at least. The 49ers have a nasty schedule this year - 10 wins would be very good considering how mediocre their defense has looked. Purdy will be scrambling for his life vs Rams and Seahawks.

Apparently this is the result of him filming himself driving 40mph over the speed limit and then posting the video on Instagram. It's hard to imagine anyone trading for Aiyuk at this point. Except maybe the Raiders.

The best part is he's doing this to himself. The 49ers can't "prevent" him from showing up, he's just... not.

I'm not sure if he'd have to pass a physical or anything to start getting his guarantees or start practicing, but from what I understand, that the 49ers would cut him the second he comes back to work because they wouldn't want to risk any sort of injury and be fully stuck.
