Musselman Suspended for Two Games

Oh no... Whatever shall we do? The Kings will be lost on the court without him. I mean who's going to tell them to stand still while they ISO one side of the floor now?

I would say that Artest has been in charge all year anyway, except for the fact that last night for the first time all season, the team kept the ball out of Ron-Ron's hands and let Bibby find Martin.

Artest was well on his way to blowing his 6th or 7th game "late". Suspended, huh? Tough year for the little feller.

What are you bashing on Artest for? He didn't overdo it, played his usuall defense, and did what he's been doing in his best effort to help us win.

Ron's one of the few guys on this team actually playing his heart out every game, and he's been doing it pretty damn good since the first of the year.

I know, as of right now, I want Artest shooting in the clutch more than Mike Bibby...Or anyone else for that matter.

I think Geoff Petrie should coach the next 2 games...Show what your creation is truly about!

uh oh, this might mess up our whole game plan. we might be able to string together two wins in a row

there goes Oden and Durant:p

Ron-Ron plays hard. Ron-Ron is not too smart with things on the line. He has blown at LEAST 6 games taking ill advised shots repeatedly late in games. He won't give up the ball, and this is because nobody is coaching him. Last night they solved the problem - he didn't get it with the game on the line.

Okay, returning to the topic at hand...

I don't think this will present too much of a problem. In fact, it might actually give Musselman a chance to watch the game from the other side, so to speak, and maybe see things he doesn't see when he's coaching.

And we have about a gazillion assistant coaches anyway. One of them can pour the kool-aid at half-time.

;)

You have to wonder what will happen if, for the next two games, the Kings come out and play good, cohesive TEAM basketball...

Or is it just me wondering?

ERIC MUSSELMAN STATEMENT REGARDING TWO-GAME SUSPENSION

SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – "In regards to the NBA two-game suspension, as I've stated in the past, I made a mistake and take full responsibility. Hopefully, this will provide closure on the matter. In my absence, Scott Brooks will coach the team. I have the utmost confidence in our coaching staff, and I look forward to returning to the sidelines when the suspension is over. Under the suspension guidelines, I am allowed to coach practices and shootarounds, which I plan on doing."

Way to handle it with class and move on, Muss. As hard as this season is to take, I wish you and the Kings the best, despite my grief induced comments during ugly games.
